ABCD opened better than Special Chabbis all across India. The opening at places was much stronger despite Special Chabbis having star value in the form of Akshay Kumar although the film is not really the type expected from mass star like Akshay Kumar. On average the collections of Special Chabbis were around 30% while ABCD opened at around 60%. ABCD had no star cast but the youth across India has come for it in a big way.
ABCD is 3-D film which would have helped the film in terms of initial collections. Special Chabbis may pick up as the day goes along as its not an initial film. Normally these types have better collections after 6pm. It will be interesting to see which film comes out on top at the end of the day but it seems that ABCD will have the edge on day one at least.
Yesterday early morning i said that Khiladi 786 will not open more than 8+ cr. But those clown fans gave me wired response. Now i am giving few reasons behind this disastrous opening.
1. Akshay Kumar, he is the biggest reason. 5 release a year is just too much for general people. Somehow, people have this idea that he is doing khiladi 786 just only for money. He has zero responsibility toward his fans.
2. Himesh Reshmiya, when people heard that he is the actor, producer, writer and musician of this film, they just turn their back.
3. All expected a Khiladi associated slick action and thriller with lots of turn and twist. But this is just a comeday movie with OTT action. Continue reading

Khiladi 786 had a mixed opening as some centres opened well while others were below the mark. The film took a 80% start at some single screens of UP bit in the same circuit some of the Delhi multiplexes were just 35%.
The best opening is in UP and some other areas are also good but many big cities are below the mark. The film has wide release on around 2750 screens which should enable day one to put up a decent number but whether the number is strong as a 2750 screen release should be is another matter.
A stronghold market for Akshay Kumar like East Punjab has not opened too strongly and may not even collect as much as Talaash did last week. Overall its a decent start but the film have to show strong weekend trends to come out with a good weekend.
hubir Rishi feels Khiladi 786 is a wannabe funny movie, an assault on our collective intellect.
Disclaimer: The writer of this review has been brought up on a constant diet of bad-good movies such as Gunda, Clerk, Saawariya [ Images ] and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, and his patience for such movies is limitless.
BUT, I have also lost count of the number of times I have wanted to run away, or close my eyes and wished the movie was finished, or simply, duck under the seat or hide my face.
The last such movie was unfortunately another Akshay Kumar [ Images ] starrer — Joker. These movies come under a category called — SO-bad-I-want-to-be-The-Punisher. Khiladi 786 is one such movie.
The opening credits are followed by Akshay making his entry by crushing a jeep full of rag doll-shaped goons, who fly over his head without breaking a sweat, and with Akshay looking you in the eye in a way that conveys that he is constipated. Continue reading
With each passing day, the excitement for Diwlai clash at box office soaring new heights. There is new addition and media frenzy on daily basis. A famous producer announced that multiplexes going to have more shows for SOS and confused audience further. Here we bring you some random EXCLUSIVE info on both the films, clash, release and advance.
First of all as far as release size is concerned, picture is somewhat clear. “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” will release in 2600 screens in India and more than 625 screens overseas. SOS will release in 1500-1600 screens in India and 300 screens overseas. SOS on whole will have almost neck to neck similar size of release as JTHJ in multiplexes but that is not the complete picture. Naturally due to rather shorter duration of film, SOS will have more shows than JTHJ in those screens. But this is happening only in few centers.
Now even advance booking trend is clearly established and as we predicted, JTHJ is now way ahead. JTHJ had tremendous booking today too in centers like Mumbai, Delhi, West Bengal, Bangalore and Pune. Film should garner a booking figure of 16 cr or more than that by Monday night. There is a strong buzz of the film and at the moment it looks to dominate at box office.
SOS is finding favor in north and no doubt that film will take a good start at box office. Film is now having good bookings in few multiplexes in East Punjab, Delhi, NCR and CI. Though in longer run content will take over and will be the decisive factor. But at the moment, film’s advance is not upto the mark and lagging behind despite heavy dose of promotion from the makers. It has been heard that ajay devgn and Viacom18 produced film Son of Sardar(sos) could not even manage 500 single screen in whole India. That 30 cr. budgeted film which is releasing in upcoming Diwali already sold to Eros International by 90 cr. Before hit the theater SOS’s producers managed 60 cr. profit. Following few on my suggestion what Devgn and gang can do to save their Diwali extravaganza.
1. Cast Aamir Khan for another item song. titled: Coo Coo
2.Decleare SOS a blockbuster as it already make 60 cr. profit by broadcasting at Doordarshan.
3. Promote it as a Salman Khan film ( which they r already doin).
4. Sell it to YRF, as they are know to eliminate competetion.
5. Rename Son of sardar as 3 sardars or Ek tha sardar.
6. Release as ‘Jab tak hai son of sardar’ to confuse single screen exhibitors.

Ajay Devgn Ffilms (ADF), through their lawyers Naik & Naik have served Yash Raj Films (YRF) a notice in the Competition Commission, for using their dominant position in the Bollywood film market. And, using and abusing their clout to deny ADF their rightful due, for ADF’s November 13 Diwali release, Son Of Sardaar.
Our sources indicate that the notice was filed on October 18, three days prior to Yash Chopra’s demise. But it was apparently served to YRF only last evening. The source says, “ADF was forced to take legal recourse because of monopolistic practices of YRF. Before the release of Ek Tha Tiger, in August 2012, YRF had reportedly used their dominant position in the market to enter into an arrangement with the exhibitors saying that they will give them Ek Tha Tiger only if the exhibitors agreed to reportedly give their Diwali release prominence over others.”
Ajay remained unavailable for comment. A copy of the notice is with us. And Son Of Sardaar is definitely releasing on November 13, this Diwali.
