Mumbai: Trouble seems to be always brewing for Salman Khan. The ‘Dabangg’ star is now stuck in another controversy where a mother and daughter have accused him of having them attacked.
Jasmeet Sethi and Amrita Sethi were spotted outside Salman’s house making a huge commotion. The duo had a lot of accusations against the star and his manager, including intimidation. They also claim that Khan had them attacked in their home and car.
They created a lot of ruckus outside the celebrity’s Bandra home claiming that they had narrow escape from the stars goons, and that the Mumbai police failed to help them when they tried to lodge a complaint. They even alleged that the police instead verbally abused them and refused to co-operate when they went to the police station.
Salman khan is already facing charges in the ill-famed hit and run case and this incident will only add to his woes. This is not the first time that Salman was accused of using his bodyguards for threats and assault. It seems that Salman Khan is almost always surrounded in controversies, and his stormy personal life is not as smooth as his film career.

Considering the huge business the film had done over the first week, a 16 crore return in week three is fantastic as it is amongst the top five highest third week collections which include films that did not start with huge collections like Barfi and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
Chennai Expess has emerged the top grosser in CP Berar with the top five films all having similar totals. Chennai Express will go clear of the bunch as it goes towards the 10 crore nett figure.

Let’s start with the obvious question… Did you expect Chennai Express to be such a big hit?
Not at this speed and consistency. We heard the film, we liked it and we believed in it. Once we started making the film, various versions began to surface. Some said it would be a comedy and some said it would be an action film. So I told Rohit (Shetty) when we market the film, we’ll tell everyone that it’s a family film.
There is also a love story in the film but when the audience saw the shot of me in a white shirt in the trailer, doing an action scene, they assumed it was an action film. When we saw the first cut, we all loved it. And we could convey what the film was all about during the promotions.
Thanks to a few breaks, the business soared. Like, in the South and the holidays we got when the film released. If there hadn’t been another release at the same time, mashallah, business would have soared faster. Continue reading
Justice R P Sondurbaldota was hearing a petition filed by activist Varsha Deshpande for early hearing of the complaint filed by her in a local court seeking action against Shah Rukh, Gauri and others under the Pre-conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act.
“On what basis are you (Deshpande) saying that the sex of the child was determined before its birth? When was the statement made? Was it made before the birth of the child or after?” Justice Sondurbaldota inquired.
The court posted the matter for hearing on August 26 and directed Deshpande to submit documents on the basis of which she filed a complaint.
