A Munnabhai is a series because you took him, and placed him somewhere else. We wanted to take it (Chulbul Pandey) forward in the Rocky way
Salman Khan had mesmerized the audience with his innocent yet intellectual iconic character called Prem. Sooraj Barjatya gave him this image and now after years, the duo will be seen together.
In the year 2012, we have seen him playing macho roles full of action when asked if he will be seen in romantic roles again like he did in ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ etc, the actor promptly says, “Yes you will see me in Sooraj’s film.”

Q. Looking at business of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Talaash, Khiladi 786, etc does it not make Ra.One look very good and at time it was trashed much more than these films?
A. In hindsight, the Ra.One 115 crore number looks good but this year the growth in business has been huge, just the films have not been good enough to show the growth. Dabangg 2 should change that though
Besieged by controversies at every step, Shah Rukh Khan takes time off to clear the air. Filmfare deconstructs the life and times of one of India’s biggest superstars

Khiladi 786 First Day Business
|Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network
Khiladi 786 was below the mark on day one collecting around 8.75 crore nett on day one. The film did well in pockets but overall collections were below the mark. The film was totally let down by Delhi and East Punjab as these areas did awful business. East Punjab at around 62 lakhs is like a washout for such a film and Delhi/UP at 1.6 crore is also very bad despite UP cities having fair collections.
Dabangg 2 is a continuation of the amazing exploits of Chulbul ‘Robin Hood’ Pandey played by Salman Khan.
The notable facets of the character include his nonchalance, his wry sense of humor and his tongue-in-cheek dialogues.
In the first film, Chulbul was pitted against Chedi Singh a local goon. And Chedi Singh had killed Chulbul’s mother Naina Devi (Dimple Kapadia).
Thus his family now consists of his stepfather Prajapati Pandey (Vinod Khanna), his younger half-brother, Makhanchan “Makkhi” Pandey (Arbaaz Khan), Makkhi’s wife Nirmala (Mahi Gill). And his wife Rajjo (Sonakshi Sinha).
This film begins with Chulbul moving on from being a local inspector in a small town Laalganj to becoming an Inspector-in-charge of Bajariya Thana, a police station in Kanpur, the largest and most populous city in Uttar Pradesh.
Sunny Leone is known for her bold and brazen look, both on screen and off. But lo and behold! When the actress attended Ekta Kapoor’s recent house party, no one could recognise the adult film actress. Reason? Sunny was dressed in an ethnic ensemble.
Raw power and his own brand of humour leave crowds swooning
The man is nearly 48. But his stage presence alone can move women to tears.
This is Salman Khan, whose raw power was unleashed on Dubai this UAE National Day, with enough Bollywood kitsch in the kitty to warrant a potboiler of its own.
Salman Khan inspires Soha Ali for her next ‘Jo Bhi Karva Lo’
SALMAN KHAN’S ECCENTRIC ICONIC character Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg has inspired actress Soha Ali Khan to play a rustic cop in her upcoming film Jo Bhi Karva Lo.
Soha, 34, said she is a huge fan of the actor and took inspiration from him to portray her character of inspector Shanti Priya in the mad-cap comedy.
“I am excited about my role because for the first time I will be doing action along with comedy. My character is like Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey and I have taken inspiration from him.
The iconic character of Chulbul Pandey, the whistle-inducing dialogues, the crackling romantic moments — these are the elements that made Dabangg memorable! Writer Dileep Shukla talks about what will make Dabangg 2 unforgettable…

In Dabangg, you had already established characters…What happens now?
We’ve taken the story forward from where Dabangg ended. Chulbul and Rajjo, now a married couple, move to Kanpur. They are in a big city now, and Chulbul encounters bigger goons. He now fights-off three brothers who team up against him. The relationships in the family go through a change…The mother is no more, and the brothers are married. There was a problem between father son and between brothers, but that’s ironed out in the sequel. There’s still light-hearted ribbing among them, but no enmity.
Contrary to reports that Salman Khan has changed plans for his Eid 2013 release and is now looking at remaking a South Indian film to be completed in time for Eid it has now come to light that ‘ Sher Khan’ is still on .But with a different title.
Says a source close to the project. “For reasons best known to Salman he has decided to change his character’s name. He won’t be called Sher Khan in the film.Otherwise Sohail is still directing the same script.”
