@ank16 – there are only two possibilities.

either akshay has actually reduced his price for special 26

or

its just false propoganda (which looks more likely. consider this – akshay lowered his price after rr and omg. so did he sign it s 26 after omg was released? secondly why wud an article about a price cut bother to inform viewers about s 26 as a film, which all publication only do for paid articles.)

but in both the cases its very clear that the real verdict for s 26 shud be lower than wat it is now.

@bleed – even if for argument’s sake i agree with wat u say (in reality i dont agree. special 26 was a piece of shit of the mindless, junile variety, ) but even then ank shud have made all these points instead of bringing in budget of special 26 viz a viz race 2.

as for me budget of special 26 is just one more fraudulent act by akshay.

1. i am very choosy in selecting may favourite films. however i am equally choosy abt being harshly critical of films also. its like a normal human being. i find (on an average) 2 films in a dacade real classics (last decade it was hazaaron khwahisehin aisi and tere naam) i find most films average and i find 2 films a decade really bad (last decade it was no smkoking and gulaal)

now i am not putting s26 in that category but just one step up. i love ‘genuine middle of the road movies that take the best of art and commercial cinema (realizm from art film, glamour and entertainment from commercial films) and i i hate ‘hijda’ movies that take the worst of both the worlds (unreal exaggerated over the top material from commercial cinema and ugly look and feel of art films and the slow pace).

special 26 for me was in the ‘hihda’ movie cateegory – it had a stupid script (the entire plan of akshay depended on manoh bajbai behaving just as he expected,, the obvious ‘red herring’ of a scene where jimmy seess manoj bajpayi’s bravado – i mean for whose effect they had done it – manoj wasnt seeing him – it was a very stupid and illogical red herring) ) it had not so glamorous faces (akshay is capable of looking quite ugli himself, so did kaajal and in a ‘bandit queen’ i dont wanna see beauty but in a heist drama i definitely do) and it had a slow and boring pace. it had laboured punchlines ( askli himmat dil mein hoti haia and some other such shit)

2. and even if u have not read my earlier posts and comments where i was the first one to point out the fraud in rab ne bana di jodi verdict – at least you shud have noticed that on this thread itself i have called akshay’s fraud a sharukh style fraud.
