Can anyone Tell Where did(if any) ABCD opened Better than Special26 ??
Yesterday there were some Heavy Discussions going on NG as well as other social Networking Sites by some People that–
1. How shock they were as ABCD has opened Better than Special26.
2. ABCD will Collect more than or almost Equal to Special26 on Day1.
3. Special26 should have atleast beaten ABCD.
Since the 1st Day Box-office collections of Both Special26 and ABCD has come—-
let me tell you the collections of both movie–

Now coming to the main point can all those who were saying ABCD opened better than Special26 can they tell their fellow NGians(including me) where did ABCD opened better than Special26??
i m asking this because even if ABCD had opened better than Special26 in morning and noon Shows by 25% .How can only on the basis of Evening shows Special26 can collect almost 100% more collections than ABCD ..??
if u have not Noticed Special26(5.75 cr) has collected Almost Double of Collections of ABCD(3 cr) on Day1.

S26 is between 6.5-7 Cr as per all sources. Putting it below 6cr is grossly unfair.

and its possible that attendance in morning show of ABCD was better as college kids watch movies in the mornings both becoz of schedule (many are not allowed out late) and becoz ticket prices being low in the mornings.
the latter also partially explains the lower collections of ABCD (though 3D glasses charges may have offset that a bit)
but the fact remains its the 4th consecutive akshay film to open lower than 10 cr (may be 8)

singh is king heroine was katrina, akshay was charging his highest fees till then, it ha d a list supporting cast. wanted had ayesha takia as heroine. even salman wasnt charging his highest at the time of signing wanted i guess. the budget of wanted must have been half of singh is king.
singh is king was perhaps the biggest budgetted movie of 2008 (along with ghajini may be) even rab ne bana di jodi had a very small budget. and singh is king ended up at no 3 in the top 5 list of teh year 2008.
wanted wasnt even in top 5 films of 2009 budget wise (3 idiots, kambakht ishq, blue, love aajkal, chandni chowk to china and even delhi 6 had bigger budgets. and wanted ended up at no 2 position in 2009.
par akshay fans to beimaani se kais ebaaz aayenge. salman ne unke liye daghabaaz re gaana bhi dedicate kar diya hai ab to.

and salman did not act in chillar party as far as i know ( unless he did) it was ranbeer kapoor who did a song promo for the film. and i never said ranbeer opens films big.

0 0sanjeev – all this opening busness is not my theory. i dont even think only actors help films open big. its mainly how the film is percieve based on promos etc. but i am saying all this just to expose ppl who try to say salman films did not open well so he wasnt a star in 2000-2009.
according to my theory its the kind of footfall (not even revenues) u get to the theaters that detrmines how big a star is. wether it happens fast ( which usually happens for actioners) or slowly (which happens for famli films etc) is immaterial. also i dont believe in taking selective periods or trending theory or any such bullshit.
all that matters to me is how many films of a star have had high footfall in his/her overall career and thats the only proof of his stardom as well as talent.
tum salman fan ho issliye bata raha hoon all this is just to rile akshay’s fans.
