Dabangg 2 Third Friday Business

Dabangg 2 remained the top Hindi film in its third week with business around the 1.5-1.6 crore nett mark. The drop from last Friday is around 62% which is solid trending. The weekend should go to around 8 crore nett.

The stand out performance has come in Bihar where it is likely to cross the figures of Bodyguard and become the highest grossing film ever. This is followed by Delhi/UP where it may come out with a 20 crore distributor share which has only been achieved by Ek Tha Tiger which did 23 crore plus.

The business in Mumbai circuit may hit 30 crore in terms of share which has only been achieved by Three Idiots and Ek Tha Tiger.

    I have one Doubt….
    Rowdy Rathore did 53 cr approx in Mumbai circuit
    does that mean it was not able to cross 30 cr DS mark…ok may be possible
    but How come if its Total DS in India is 73-74 cr from a 133 cr nett all india figure
    that is approx 56% off the Total nett figure..

    Now for comparisons Rowdy rathore did 30 cr in 1st week in Mumbai circuit
    while D2 did approx 32-33 cr in 1st week in Mumbai circuit..!!

    Does that mean BOI has reduced the collections of RR ??

    Overseas Dabangg2 collections are quite impressive.
    Generally masala movies don’t get good numbers overseas but Salman craze getting big overseas as well.

    Dabangg – 6.25 million USD
    BG – 8.10 million USD
    Dabangg2 – 9 million USD

    I won’t consider ETT here as its not a masala movie and it was more of overseas friendly genre.
