Khiladi 786 First Day Business (8.75cr) & Talaash Down On Second Friday (2.25cr)

Khiladi 786 First Day Business

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

Khiladi 786 was below the mark on day one collecting around 8.75 crore nett on day one. The film did well in pockets but overall collections were below the mark. The film was totally let down by Delhi and  East Punjab as these areas did awful business. East Punjab at around 62 lakhs is like a washout for such a film and Delhi/UP at 1.6 crore is also very bad despite UP cities having fair collections.

Bihar did good business due to a massive release while CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan and Gujarat also put up decent numbers while other areas were poor. Mumbai circuit outside Gujarat and Saurashtra was very low.

With such a low number on such a wide release there is huge potential to grow on Saturday but it will have to show some big growth to even go over the 30 crore nett mark for the weekend and even if somehow it reaches 30 crore its still not a good figure.

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Talaash Down On Second Friday

Talaash dropped on its second Friday collecting around 2.25 crore nett. The drop is more than 80% from day one. The drops is across all circuits of India. There should be a pick up on Saturday and Sunday but still the second weekend will show a big drop.

The lifetime business of the film is looking to be around 85 crore nett which is not that good but with a poor showing by another big film Khiladi 786 this week it makes the total look more respectable.

The poor fate of Khiladi 786 at multiplexes actually helped Talaash on it’s second Friday, if Khiladi 786 had scored then Talaash would of showed an even bigger drop.

Opening weekend of akshay’s last two films have been less than even kareena’s heroine and sunny leone’s jism 2 and now even it looks tough for K786 to beat kareena’s heroine or sunny leone’s jism2 opening weekend. and their fans here call him mega star. LOL

bro just calm down when there is 5 release in 1 year this can happen….

More over within 2 months(8 th Feb) Special 26 is coming…..so when a man has 6 releases in 10 months(April 2012-Feb 2013) such things happen you can’t ask Audience to see your 6 Releases on Day 1 if WOM is good they will come slowly and steadily…

Not that I m a fan of Aamir but some Akki fans RT the suspense just cos they sensed danger from Talaash… I was one of the victim … But nevertheless I enjoyed the movie after a long time.. Akki fans wer over confident that amass film with huge hype ll never fail.. But I hope they hav learnt a lesson.. Akki is not salman… Salman never takes the mass audience for granted.. The day he takes them for granted he ll also hav the same faith…

Akki is not salman… Salman never takes the mass audience for granted.. The day he takes them for granted he ll also hav the same faith…
What does it mean? how has akki taken the mass audience for granted?

Mass audience love onliners, items songs n a bit OTT action.., they don’t mind if there is mch logic.. But wit SOS n K786 ajay or akki ne had hi kardi.. Ek side ajay gundo ko volley ball banata he aur dusri side Akki jeep ko kachumber banata he apne pairo se… I think both forgot that audience me admi log he Gorilla nahi :P

i think k786 released in wrong time. mostly because it is right before dabangg 2 which has same genre as k786.

I agree with Sanjeev here. The release period was very wrong because the film of same genre was released in Diwali (SOS) and then there is also a film of same genre which is releasing two weeks after K786, which probably is hottest in the market.
