Shahrukh’s ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ becomes Bollywood’s third highest grosser overseas
As reported on Dec. 4, Shahrukh Khan’s “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” continues with its winning streak at the overseas market becoming Bollywood’s third highest grosser.
King Khan remains a popular figure for Bollywood lovers worldwide. His films may have received lukewarm response in the local circuits, but, have been huge hits across the border.
“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” is no exception.
After the third weekend, “JTHJ” raked in Rs. 67 crore making it Shahrukh Khan’s second highest movie of all times after “My Name is Khan.”
With the additional earning in the potluck, “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” becomes Bollywood’s third highest grosser at the overseas market till date, following Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots” with Rs. 123 crore and “My Name is Khan” with Rs. 115 crore
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh updated fans with the latest earning report.
He said, “#JTHJ *total after 3rd Weekend* UK £ 1,491,655 [Rs 13 cr] … USA $ 3,270,132 [Rs 17.91 cr] … UAE + GCC $ 3,507,000 [Rs 19.21 cr].”
Followed his tweet with, “#JTHJ *total after 3rd Weekend* Australia A$ 689,308 [Rs 3.90 cr] … New Zealand NZ$ 199,411 [Rs 88.87 lacs]. BLOCKBUSTER in Overseas”
“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” is Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture that opened in theaters November 13. The romantic saga starred Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead.
