At the International Film Festival, SRK was felicitated with the Wissame Al Kafaa al Fikria, (award of intellectual merit).
Accepting the rare honor, King Khan quipped, “It’s nice to be appreciated for my intellect once in a while. Otherwise, people may believe it’s only about spreading my arms and not my creative thoughts, but seriously, this is an amazing feeling of appreciation and love.”
SRK’s presence at Marrakech created hysteria when thousands of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite star. Shahrukh Khan obliged them by shaking hands, signing autographs and waving. Much to the delight of his fans, the perfect showman also performed extensively for the crowd dancing to his popular tunes.
A close source told Hindustan Times, “Shah Rukh is a very big star there (in Morocco). People kept chanting his name. They don’t know any female actors from Bollywood.”
