The promos & sluggish pace has let down Talaash, for the average cinegoer!Tango | December 1, 2012, 11:14 PM | 9 comments | 0 views
My rating Talaash 3.5/5
I liked Talaash ( must add that I am big fan of Agatha Christie, and the slow paced finely detailed films that have been made on her novels), and I can also understand where and why a section of the audience has problems.
NO, it is not the climax. The problem is due to the promos, which gave an impression that the film has fast paced proceedings, before the final revelation.
Amir is investigating accidents/murders and there is this suspect having some vital info. The proceeding appeared taut and not sluggish. I always believe that promos should not be misleading, from the point of view of an ordinary cinegoer.
Unfortunately, TALAASH drags in the second half (very much like the first half of the second part of JTHJ). The film moves at patience testing pace, till the climax. You cannot do that to the audience.
Even if the film had picked up pace half way thru the second half, the outcome would have been different, and even the climax would have been accepted, as a fitting finale.
Those saying that the climax is the problem, sorry I disagree.
