Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ reaches the coveted 100-crore club in India

While Bollywood film makers keep claiming that numbers don’t matter, it can’t be denied that box-office earning is one of the main benchmarks to measure a film’s success. Hence, Shahrukh Khan’s fans were excited to see “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” enter the coveted 100-crore club in India, according to a tweet made by Taran Adarsh on Nov. 24, 2012.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh updated his Twitter timeline with the much-awaited news, “#JTHJ [2nd Week] Fri 2.75 cr. Total: 101.16 cr nett. CROSSES 100 cr MARK IN INDIA.”

The 100-crore club made popular in recent times is the prestigious, elite club, which is currently ruled by Salman Khan. His movies “Dabangg”, “Ready”, “Bodyguard” and the latest, “Ek tha Tiger” reached there in no time.

Other prominent films in the slot are “Ghajini”, “Housefull 2” “Rowdy Rathore” together with “Sigham” and “Bol Bachchan”.

Hence, all eyes were on Shahrukh Khan’s “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” and its entry into the acclaimed position.

While the movie didn’t generate an unexplained hysteria, it has climbed slowly and steadily, building audiences and a solid fan base.

Just like any other Yash Chopra romance, “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” slowly creeps into your conscience and captures your mind and entity, until it becomes a part of you.
