First you guys bash BOI and now you guys support BOI? Please make up your mind.

Now can we stop believing BOI is a ProSRK site?

No Fasel. Now It becomes even more suspicious because at 82 crore they have declared JTHJ SuperHit… Bhala ye kaise explain karoge bolo???

I dont think BOI is going to call it a Super Hit. I believe they’ve even removed that webpage too.

    Considering BOI numbers only:

    JTHJ – 92cr
    SOS – 80cr
Total = 172cr after second weekend.

    ETT total = 187cr

Looks like the combined collections of JTHJ and SOS will land up equal to ETT’s domestic collections.

    —–
Someone on NG had predicted that combined total of JTHJ and SOS will be similar to ETT … who was it ?? Good guess work … :)

Combined collection of Sos and Jthj may not exceed 186cr of ETT even though Jthj was riding on ETT But Sos may take over jthj sooner than later.

Many folks underestimate 187cr of ETT, but the BO results of this diwali clash clearly shows that ETT was genuinely loved by the classes and masses alike.

I’ve said it before (few times only) and will say it again, right now its Salman’s time and you put him in any film, 150 crores is a definite. Whatever ETT did at the BO was because of Salman’s pull and his power. Sadly to say SRK’s pull is decreasing at the BO.

Agree. I think SRK lost goodwill due to Ra.one. His star power was diminishing before Ra.one itself, but RaOne ended up damaging him in a larger way.

I don’t know about goodwill and all that stuff. I don’t live in India. I live in the US so its hard for me to recognize his goodwill and etc. I still SRK has the BO pull for opening day and opening weekend but his films havent been upto mark with the WOM, thats where it hits you in 2nd week and 3rd week.

Even with JTHJ, many predicted 150+ but I stuck with 120-130 because of the romantic genre and the length of the film. Even if you want to analyze JTHJ’s BO, it has still made a decent amount of money at the BO despite being a romantic genre, a 3 hour film, mixed WOM, and a clash.

I don’t feel too positive about Chennai Express but I am 100% sure Happy New Year will be a Blockbuster at the BO.

Rohit Shetty has much better track record than Farah Khan.

Infact its rather surprising that srk is ready to work with Farah after debacle of TMK.

Wow so its FS ….. well great guess work …. now go and treat yourself with somethg or someone ;)…. for this BANG-ON prediction .. :)

@Fasel: 150cr and 187cr still the difference is 37cr … yes there is Salman factor but I think its combination of “Salman + good wom”

    —–
One good thing is many used to say Ajay D is all because of Rohit Shetty …. now atleast we have a clear picture Ajay D can pull it even without Shetty.

Infact we will have to closely monitor CE’s box off performance …. because if CE doesn’t become a big hit then we can easily say that Rohit Shetty is all because of Ajay D and not the other way round.

SOS has done really well at the BO with the clash and lesser screens so credit must be given BUT I still don’t consider Ajay Devgan a big draw the BO. What happened to films like Aakrosh, Rascals, and Dil Toh Bacha Hai, Tezz. Himmatwala is Devgan’s next release and that’ll definitely be huge and a certain amount of that credit should go to Sajid Khan. I’m going to wait a few more films before I start believing in Ajay D as a BO puller.

As for Rohit Shetty, I’m not expecting anything huge with CE.I hated Bol Bachchan, turned it off after 40 minutes but I have loved the Golmaal series and Singham is one of my fav films but with CE I have a feeling he is going to alter his filmmaking style just because he’s directing SRK.

@rockie – we dont need to wait for chennai express to see if rohit needs ajay. phool aur kaante to jigar to pyaar to hona hi tha to son of sardar everything proves rohit needs ajay, not vice versa.

chennai express will just seal it.

Fasel is giving exmples of Rascal and Tezz …… for every Rascals there is a Billu and every Tezz there is a Yeh Lamhe Hai Judai ke ….

So judging a star’s power on low grade and delayed products is not a good idea.

Dont you think its unprofessional attitude??

anyways I dont want to fight the lol – game with you ….. for me both were delayed films and I wont judge star power based on those movies ….

rather I wud use JTHJ and SOS to judge star power, as both stars are in their comfort genre’s and the BO result is out for everyone to judge .. :)
