“200 To 300 Screens To Be Added To Son Of Sardar From Nov 23″: Ajay Devgn
“In the second week, in the coming friday, we have 200-300 more screens added on to Son of Sardar,” disclosed Ajay Devgn in an interview with me yesterday. “As soon as the theater count increases, the collections increase and we are hoping for a very good second week as well,” Ajay Added.

    according to boi screen space for both movies is almost same in 2nd week..
    Oh forgot u guys wil never consider site whch writes gud abt srk.. Its same toi whch wrote in favour of ra 1 nd u guys said tht they are false.. Bt nw u wil belive them coz they spoke against srk..

    Can someone pls post the video of Ajay’s interview with Faridoon on Bollywood Hungama. His interview could stir up some more contention with the ongoing sage. I feel he has totally expressed his acrimonious nature towards YRF & their release strategy. Lets see how this contestation would affect his next films :-)

    If ETT was masala, how less of a masala movie was JTHJ??

    Damn some of you Srk fans think, that srk movies are holy productions! JTHJ was as formulaic as masalaic as any other film you claim to be. I will make a post on that and you guys can leave your comments there.

      JTHJ does not belong to a masala genre .. However, its not an unconventional film either .. It is sort of an emotional romantic ride. Nevertheless, the film wasn’t successful in delivering that. One thing we need to remember is that genre is sort of seasonal & now the season is Masala and Comedy films in Bollywood. They click quite easily in BW and in contrast few years back romantic films used to click in a big way and now that’s not the case. Nobody would now say a romantic film as a safe project. However, for a conventional routine masala flicks you do have the market and also it is safe to say when its being done with a big star its safe instead of trying something unconventional. Nevertheless, SRK’s recent films are also of no difference he is not trying something experimental and creative instead he is trying to rehash the same old rona-dona types. The only actors who try something different are Ranbir, Aamir & Ajay (Before his introduction to Rohit shetty. Now even he started acting more in Masala & Comedy flicks). Hope you agree with me

    srk fans complaining abt masala is simply a case of sour grapes.how easily they forget the market situation 10yrs back when srk cashed in like no one else.the multiplex revolution beganin metros in late 90′s and continued to grow in the early 2000′s and reached its saturation point.the average multiplex ticket rate was 10 times higher than single screens.due to this disarity any movie having upper middle class sensitivities worked huge in metros had huge collections inspite of having considerably lower footfall.and srk capitalised on this doing a string of pansy romantic movies.kkhh,mohabbatein,k3g,khnh,vz,kank to name a few.that success rubbed off on his non romantic movies like oso same like salman where a non masala film like ETT is a hugee blockbuster.even ppl like saif gave hits doing rom coms like salaam namaste and hum tum.even tara rum pum was a success.a film like tere naam had considerably higher footfall than other nri rom coms but couldnt do huge business coz of cheap ticket rates in singl screens

    continuing from above-nobody complained them about the romcom genre being a safe bet.now the situation has changed.with metros nd tier 1 cities saturated the multiplexes started targetting tier 2 cities and slowly and steadily have penetrated even the yier3 towns and small centres.these areas are places where mass areas have strong fan following.with competition from these mplexes even the single screens renovated nd increased ticket rates.all these factors are now benefitting mass films.but rom coms have had their share of the pie when the market was favourable for them nd srk fans should never complain as he has benefitted from the market condition and has exploited it hugely from 1998 to 2006.
