Akshay Kumar’s OMG! most viewed Hindi film on TV
Akshay Kumar starrer OMG!Oh My God! has been criticised by several
right winged groups and the BJP is all set to raise the issue of how films
like this attacks Hindu beliefs, in the Winter Session of Parliament. But it
seems, the audiences love it. Not only was this small budget film a box
office success but it was also the most viewed Hindi film on television last week.
According to a TV search and electronic guide provider company, What’s-On-India’s (WOI) report Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer comedy film, OMG! Oh My God, pipped two of Aamir Khan’s blockbuster
films 3 Idiots and Ghajini to top the Hindi Movies category. While 3
Idiots took the second position, Ghajini was third. Akshay again featured
on the list with Rowdy Rathore in fourth spot. Salman Khan’s Ek Tha
Tiger (Sony) took the fifth spot.
There wasn’t much change in the Hindi TV show category with Bigg Boss
still clinching the top spot. However, CID which started almost a decade
back, took the fourth position while Amitabh Bachchan’s popular show
Kaun Banega Crorepati dropped off the list. Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon,
once again settled for the second spot and Bade Acche Lagte Hain
climbed to the third position. Balika Vadhu dropped two spots to fifth.
In the English Movies category, The Hangover Part II toppled critically
acclaimed movies like Inception, X-Men: First Class and Slumdog
Millionaire to grab the top spot. While Leonardo Dicaprio starrer
Inception took the second position, X-Men: First Class and Slumdog
Millionaire took the third and fourth positions respectively. Real Steel
took the fifth spot.
Two and a Half Men is still the most popular English TV show and is
followed by Grey’s Anatomy which took the second position according
to Whats-on-India report. The Big Bang Theory featured on third spot
and How I Met Your Mother on fourth spot.

11 0OMG deserved it truly one of the best movies of the year for me. Akki should learn from this and concentrate on acting and producing atleast one socially relevant movie every 2 years or so it certainly enhances the brand value and trust of an actor. Akki+Paresh is a deadly combo.

even without reading it i knew how the minds of slimy akshay kumar works. this is no strory. the premeiere telecast of a month old release on tv having the highest rating in ‘that week’. they just made up a story, added akshay’s name in it (as the poor guy doesnt get any record breaking without manipulations) and made up this story.
even the flop agent vinod must have bene the most viewed film in the week of its premiere telecast. so also the disaster tezz. laanat hai akshay kumar ki desperation par.

@ankita beti – main ett ke repeat telecast ki baat kar raha hoon viz a viz premiere telecast of tezz/agent vinod/rr/mog. in its premiere telecast ett wud have defintely been above 10 trp. just that since may 2012 they are not recording TRPs for some reason.

aur ankita beti rating ya to sunday to saturday aa sakti hai ya monday to sunday. agar ek week sunday to sunday rating aayegi to next week kya hoga? monday to monday? aur usse agle hafte? tuesday to tuesday? aise to har hafte week ki composition hi badalti rahegi.
i repeat ett has been dragged so that omg premeiere telecast at leats cud beat ett in repeat telecasrt aur issliye ek din ka ghapla kar liya.
