Even though it counts in east punjab… Bt it doesnt have any similarities with it as far as demographies are concerned… Just for the sake of geography it counts in east punjab!

Unfortunately, demography dont count when we talk of circuits/territories. Gurgaon is a major center of East Punjab, and it usually has a seperate distributor. All the involved costs and earnings for Gurgaon will be accrued in/for East Punjab.

Some consider Noida to be a part of Delhi but it is not so.

Thats not what i am talking about… What i meant to say was that the basic premise of sos that wpuld attract people in east punjab(sardar flavour) wont hold true in gurgaon… Depite it being counted in east punjab territory… So gauging its performance in east punjab by looking at the guragon numbers would be misleading…

Thats another story that after the first day… It is greater or neck to neck with jthj!

Soon collections will be out for not just East Punjab but all the circuits, so we can analyse better.

    Rt now the situation is

JTHJ has collections varying from 45 – 49 (Going by diff sources)

SOS- Has collections varying from 35 – 39 (Going by diff sources)

I guess more than the Sardaar factor, it is the entertainment quotient that is attracting the audience. In many towns of UP (where there may be less than 10 % Sardars) the film is doing wonderfully.

Well definately the masala factor is driving the collections apart from the star quotient…but i was reffering to punjab side… Where sardar factor would have helped a lot…

How do you think the two movies would hold up post sunday? And how would you describe their bo performance uptill now?

I think jthj is doing well… Decent…good… Nt excellent but good… While sos,i think, is doing better conaidering the lesser number of single screens in mass areas like delhi,up etc and the small appeal it held for multiplex audience as against jthj of big cities which drive collections in a big way!

I think someone said people would be surprised to see the difference in collections between SOS and Jthj but looks like he got surprised instead

Kunal- If there was a single release, that film would have been breathing down 100 crore. Unfortunately that is not the case. Still both films doing well is good news for the industry, and I think the long term effect will be more than one films on big occaions/holidays!

Monday onwards I guess the collections would still be steady though at mid end! Once again for the nth time families hold the key.
