Latest Report On Release & Advance Bookings Of JAB TAK HAI JAAN & SON OF SARDAAR

With each passing day, the excitement for Diwlai clash at box office soaring new heights. There is new addition and media frenzy on daily basis. A famous producer announced that multiplexes going to have more shows for SOS and confused audience further. Here we bring you some random EXCLUSIVE info on both the films, clash, release and advance.

First of all as far as release size is concerned, picture is somewhat clear. “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” will release in 2600 screens in India and more than 625 screens overseas. SOS will release in 1500-1600 screens in India and 300 screens overseas. SOS on whole will have almost neck to neck similar size of release as JTHJ in multiplexes but that is not the complete picture. Naturally due to rather shorter duration of film, SOS will have more shows than JTHJ in those screens. But this is happening only in few centers.

Now even advance booking trend is clearly established and as we predicted, JTHJ is now way ahead. JTHJ had tremendous booking today too in centers like Mumbai, Delhi, West Bengal, Bangalore and Pune. Film should garner a booking figure of 16 cr or more than that by Monday night. There is a strong buzz of the film and at the moment it looks to dominate at box office.

SOS is finding favor in north and no doubt that film will take a good start at box office. Film is now having good bookings in few multiplexes in East Punjab, Delhi, NCR and CI. Though in longer run content will take over and will be the decisive factor. But at the moment, film’s advance is not upto the mark and lagging behind despite heavy dose of promotion from the makers.

This clash will be over on 13th November and from 15th onwards as the dust over all media hypes and Diwali advantage will settle, it will be the content which will decide the grand winner of the battle. For now, fingers crossed!

Nissan is still to launch the third mentioned across India in a big way.

BTW- I believe in performance and utility rather than cosmetic features.

I told you but now one believe me .People overhyped the clash like hell .Ajay cant compete Shahrukh at the opening battle or even in big star so the opening will be for JTHJ with abig difference and then the quality can talk

” Film should garner a booking figure of 16 cr or more than that by Monday night.”

If that really happen, 16 cr. firsr day only in advance booking. Then it very much possible around 20 cr. first day

186 shows for JTHJ… how many screens?

  11. RedDevil

    @Jasp the Wasp

The shows that I have mentioned are only from Cineworld Cinemas. It is also shown by other two major multiplex chain such as Odeon Cinemas, UK and Vue Cinemas. Also it is screened in other theaters as well. So the complete show count in UK could be well more than that of 186 shows. Those count are only from Cineworld & that too which are reported. There could be non-reported screens as well.

N ppl say SRK isn’t SS crowd puller.. Dude he is evergreen..

      1. khiladi

Lolzz.. Sirf Ek Single Screen mein aisa hone se SRK pure desh ke masses mein Evergreen nahin hoga :D

      2. srk lover

It is still true that srk is not as good SS crowd puller as Salman and Akki. Agar Akki or Salman ki picture hota, toh eis photo mein ek calm queue nahi ek hungama hota.
        Did you see the difference?

  14. Gorilla

Advance booking trend was quite predictable. JTHJ will lead in its opening by at least 30%. I was the first on NG to claim this.
However, SOS will pick up on current booking.
    Just 3 days to go.

  15. jealous hater of srk

intersting thing is there were long queues reported in kanpur and few places in bihar it is unusal for a srk movie-box office capsule

  16. Rockyy

Ranting khiladi babu, there were long queues in kanpur, bihar n also rajasthan is having good advance..

  17. rajesh

“Film should garner a booking figure of 16 cr or more than that by Monday night”

How can that be possible if article is talking about Diwali day itself. Even ETT which has far better advance has only 30% to 35% tickets sold in advance and JTHJ’s advance is no where in that range along with the fact that it has released on lesser screens and has competition from SOS.

Any ways, JTHJ was always going to be opened better than SOS, it is to be seen how much.

  23. Rockyy

The difference is that SRK fans are well behaved and u knw d rest..

  24. Rockyy

jealous hater of srk my three sure films of the next 3 weeks are

    1) JTHJ on Tuesday

    2) Talaash

    3) K 786

I have to go to Phuket & Krabi soon, otherwise I would have watched SOS too, as I love these light films, but cannot now for now.

Will let you know my views abt JTHJ on Tuesday.

    1. rockie_Dabhangg2

      @Tango Bhai:
Its okay … no need to give excuses for not watching SOS. :P
We all know your love for Ajay D.. :D

  34. rockie_Dabhangg2

I have not yet decided to watch either. Will decide after Diwali – Bhaidooj.
So it will be probably Sat or Sun.

  35. Tango

I don’t give excuses Rockie Dabangg usually don’t watch Ajay Devgn films in cinema, unless and until it is something that appeals to me. This does look interesting to me.

Saw Singham and Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji and was in mood to see this one too but cannot as I am leaving next Monday.

Stars I watch on screen – Amir, SRK, Akshay, Salman, Hrithik and Big B if he has not been reduced to acaricature by the likes of RGV.

  36. RJ

Tango – Sos will be a better film than JTHJ. I can vouch for one thing – there will be no fake aansoo in SOS. I hope jthj avoids that cliche…but since it’s srk..he’ll ham it apart.

    1. rajeev singh

you are right SOS is all real, from action , to locations to acting……

  37. Tango

RJ – I have watched every Yash Chopra film Deewar onwards (barring Vijay) some even 2-3 times, so no question of missing out JTHJ at an early screening.

I love the way he approaches filmmaking.

Also see Waqt, and plan to check out Daag and Ittefaq too.

  38. Alfa.one

“Yun to hote hi hain wahshat mein junoon ke aasaar.

Abid bhai aapne kuch naheen kaha phir bhi sab kuch keh gaye.

BTW, JTHJ ek achchi film hai.
