The diffident Imran Khan lets down his guard as he chats online with his fans. Filmfare gives you Excerpts from the e-talk…
Q. Gang: Who is your favourite co-star?
I like Anushka Sharma as an actress but having worked with her (in Matroo Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola), I like her as a person too.
Q. Drash: What are your upcoming projects?
Matroo with Anushka and Once Upon a Time… Part 2 with Sonakshi Sinha.
Q. Puneet: What is your opinion about sending Barfi! to the Oscars?
These decisions are taken by smarter people than me. I wouldn’t tell them how to do their jobs.
Q. Bhumika: Kareena or Priyanka Chopra?
I’ve always been a Kareena fan so I’m biased!
Q. Ria: Who is a bigger star? Salman Khan or Aamir Khan?
Salman Khan has an appeal that no one on earth can match… he wins!
Q. Vivek: Has Aamir hated any of your films?
To tell you the truth, Aamir Khan hasn’t seen more than half of my films.
Q. Bhowmik: Your best performance till date…
If you want to grow as an artiste, you can never be satisfied with your work.
Q. Nithin: When can we expect you to work with Aamir?
We don’t have any plans for the near future. But it will happen.
Q. Andrea: Which has been the best performance by an actor/actress this year?
Richa Chadda’s in Gangs Of Wasseypur. And for the male performance, wait for Talaash.
Q. Samiksha: Do you wish to become a director some day?
I definitely want to direct some day. But I don’t feel ready yet.
Q. Simi: What is that one thing about your wife that attracts you the most?
What binds me to Avantika is her warmth. She’s the most caring person I know.
Q. Fangal: How is it working in Once Upon A Time… sequel. Please share your experience working with Askhay Kumar?
The big surprise for me was how chilled out Akshay is. You never get the feeling that he’s a big star. He’s a calm, happy, friendly guy.
Q. Raj: Have you dyed your hair for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matroo…?
Funnily, I haven’t dyed my hair. But I’ve dyed my beard! My hair is black but my beard is brown, which looked weird. So I had to dye it black to match my hair.
Q. Pawi: Any plans of joining Twitter again?
No. I couldn’t handle the pace!
Q. Tushar: One role you wished you’d done?
It’s arrogant to look at another actor’s work and imagine that I could do it better. Each role is unique and works because of the actor who played it.
Q. Riya: Are you still uncomfortable about dancing on screen?
I’m finally chilled out about dancing on screen. I still don’t do it in real life though.
Q. Lohita: A director you are dying to work with…
Right now I’m working with Vishal Bhardwaj, Milan Luthria and Tigmanshu Dhulia, some of the hottest directors. It would be selfish to ask for more.
Q. ImraanKhansgirl: What’s been the best experience so far of your career?
Sitting in the back rows in the theatres and hearing people cheer. It’s the best feeling on earth.
Q. Ranjan: When can we see you in an action role?
Wait for Once Upon A Time… there is plenty of action in it.
Q. Tanya: Do u really have an OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)?
I prefer to call it CDO, because that way the letters are alphabetically arranged. That should answer your question!
Q. Pribz: If you wake up one as an actress, who would you like to be?
Your question made me laugh! I’d like to be Kareena. She’s very sorted in her life, personally and professionally.
Q. Josh Reberto: Are you flattered that you have such a large gay fan following? Has a man ever hit on you?
Of course I’ve had a guy hit on me. It’s flattering. But if someone likes me, it doesn’t really matter if they’re male or female or where they’re from.
Q. Chintu: Which movie are you looking forward to more – Jab Tak Hai Jaan or Dabangg 2?
It’s Dabangg 2 all the way.
Q. Sahil Gangwani: What is your take on remakes?
Generally, I don’t like the idea of remaking classics. We should leave perfection alone and try to make films that become classics in the future.
Q. ndrea: What has been your favorite Hindi movie of 2012 so far?
Since I’ve already seen Talaash, it’s my favourite movie of the year.
Q. Gungnum jai ho: Have you heard the new Gangnam style song?
Gangnam style has totally rocked my world!
Q. Anjela: Matroo Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola… explain please?
I play Matroo, Anushka is Bijlee and Pankaj Kapur is Mandola. Hope that clears things up for you!
Q. Kush: When will you work with Priyanka Chopra?
PC and I are going to be working together in Milan Talkies next year!
Q. Arati: How do you feel when you have to let go of a great script just for lack of dates?
I’ve never had to let go of a film because of dates. That’s partly because I don’t take on too much work at a time.
Q. Dia: Define journalists in one word.
Q. Devi: Which of your characters is closest to your personality?
You’d be surprised to find how similar Tashi (from Delhi Belly) and I are.
Q. Andrea: Was there a movie/ character that you got too attached to?
I got attached to the team of Break Ke Baad. The director, the technicians and my co-stars all became good friends.
Q. Rishab: Your favourite Aamir Khan film?
3 Idiots is my favourite AK film.
Q. Arzik: Are you happy?
I have a job that I love and friends and family who support me. I’m the happiest person in the world…
