‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ vs ‘Son of Sardar’: I am Fighting for My Rights, says Ajay Devgnwall-D | November 6, 2012, 11:07 PM | 5 comments | 0 views
The war between actor-producer Ajay Devgn and Yash Raj Films intensifies after the Competition Commission of India (CCI) rejected Ajay’s allegation that the production company is using its dominant position for the promotion of “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.
Ajay insisted that the fight is not between him and actor Shahrukh Khan but between the producers of the movies “Son of Sardar” and”Jab Tak Hai Jaan”. The actor said that he had filed the complaint before Yash Chopra passed away”I had filed the complaint much before the demise of Yash Chopra.
When this happened I was like people are going to target me and nobody is going to understand my point of view… I was a villain on both sides. I couldn’t withdraw it (notice) from the Competition Commission… It is not a normal court,” Ajay told Press Trust of India(PTI).
We have just received an official statement from Ajay Devgn Ffilms (ADF) – “We are shocked by the rejection of our legitimate case by the CCI. We have approached the Appellate Tribunal against the order.” So what happens next?
Does this mean that Ajay and his production house, along with his partners, will meekly give in and let YRF win this war? Or is it merely a single battle lost and a bigger fight to start? Talking to us just a few hours ago, Ajay had vented his feelings, stating that his company Ajay Devgn Ffilms was going to fight for its rights till the very end.
The company wanted fair division of operational theatres for its movie screenings, which it felt was being blocked by YRF in all the metropolitan cities.
