Prediction thread: Son of Sardaar Vs Jab tak hai Jaan
This Diwali there is a war. But there can be only one victor, only one Ram who returns to Ayodhya after demolishing the demons.
So who is God and who is demon this Diwali?
Or will it be a battle and not a war?
Or will both emerge victors?
Or will both kill each other?
Expectation from both films are rocket high. Anything less than 100 cr Lifetime from either will be colossal disappointment.
Looking at the fact that SRK is coming after 10 months in a Yash Chopra film with the queen bee Katrina, raises the bar a little higher for him. He has also slipped in ranking and popularity and no one can win hearts the way king khan can and the world knows this.
On the other hand Devgn’s film is a remake of Telugu blockbuster made by SS Rajamouli. So mind says that’s this film cannot go wrong at least this year when Rajamouli’s remake Rowdy Rathore rocked the box office and became a memorable and most appreciated blockbuster.
My predictions are:

Opening weekend: Rs 35 cr
Opening week : Rs 75 cr
Lifetime nett ( new addition) : Rs 110 cr
Son of Sardaar
Opening weekend: Rs 30 cr
Opening week: Rs 75 cr
Lifetime nett ( new addition ) : Rs 110 cr
Diwali match will be drawn. However, in this drawn match where both will win, Ajay Devgn will emerge bigger winner as David will match Golliath and emerge victorious along with him.

3 0Manish bro, I think Diwali puja and competition will eat into potential. However note that in a combined capacity of 25 cr each day i am predicting good showing by both movies. Had each released solo, the turnover would have been more.

But but but… If 1 Movie Gets Excellent WOM[Barfi! Level] and Another One is TMK Level, that One will Clearly Win Big Time.
Personally, I don’t want JTHJ to Have Bigger Collections but Go the ‘Cocktail Way’.

6 2It will be JTHJ all the way. As I have repeatedly said the Yash Chopra factor will play out in a big way as the release date nears. He was a legend and his last movie prior to release date will lead to media frenzy which would elbow out SOS. Only if SOS is a great product will it be able to bounceback in week 2 . I go with JTHJ 150+, SOS: 60-80 cr.

@ manish @gorilla this battle could have been easily won by sharukh but due to these misuse of power by YRF this has become intense..!! coming on akshay if khiladi 786 gets a clean verdict or hit tag lets say 80 to 90 cr then Boss will finish around 120 or more irrespective of competition ..! and OUTIM2 on eid agar salman khan bhi aega na tab bhi opening 2-4 crore cy ziada le sakta ha agay we all know ekta kapoor product and akshay as don.!!! salman bhai buht EIDI jama hogai >>!!! -
