yash chopra Veteran Bollywood filmmaker Yash Chopra passes away   Veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra, who was undergoing treatment for dengue at the Lilavati Hospital in Mubai, passes away on Sunday. Chopra, 80, was admitted to the hospital on last Saturday.

The veteran filmmaker has been busy shooting his last directorial venture “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”. The film is slated for a Diwali release Nov 13 and will see Shah Rukh Khan romancing Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

Chopra is known for making some of the best love stories like “Daag”, “Kabhie Kabhie”, “Silsila”, “Chandni” and “Lamhe” and action dramas like “Deewar” and “Trishul”.

    I am shocked to say the least, and was hoping that it was someone’s idea of a poor joke.

    End of another era, the last bastion of old school of Hindi cinema is gone.
