0 0#EnglishVinglish [2nd Week] Fri 1.55 cr, Sat 3 cr. Total: 25.55 cr nett. Super-strong at plexes. Taran Adash
film was quite strong on staurday and sunday and had put best numbers for day in plexes.
Donot know what BOI will do now, as their commentary was mostly negative ( like they do for many films with their perceived notion).
Film is supposed to do best on Weekends as It is family film and families prefer movie on weekends. But so called BO experts like correspondent of BOI etc are even not able to understand this small fact. How they do their analysis then? God knows.
My estimate for Sunday is also around 4 cr ( based upon trend and numbers of Saturday) So weekend will be around 8-8.5 cr

0 0English Vinglish had a pretty good 2nd weekend at the domestic box office making about 7.50 Crores as per early estimates. The Sridevi starrer now stands at a domestic box office total of 28 Crores. Having made about 9 Crores at the overseas box office English Vinglish has a worldwide box office collection of 36 Crores.
The film actually picked up on the weekend and made the highest on Sunday making more money than recent releases like Aiyyaa and Bhoot Returns. The movie had a decent box office collection in the last 10 days but thanks to the low opening it will not be able to convert into extraordinary numbers.
After the release of Student Of The Year this Friday, the film will suffer in the multiplexes but is sure to do decent numbers in its 2nd week. We are looking at a 15 Crore plus 2nd week and about 45-50 Crores lifetime box office collections.
