BOI followers are familiar this site accounts criteria of average per print while reporting opening and final verdict of a movie.

Still, in the latest instance they have clearly mentioned poor opening for OMG! oh My God ignoring the fact it was released on just 1150 screens as compared to heroine which got the most extensive release ever for female oriented movie on over 2400 screens.

just look at following statistics and apply simple mathmatics:

Opening Day Figures :

Heroine – 6.75 on 2400 screens, avg – 28,000 per screen
Omg! OH MY GOD – 4 cr on 1150 screens, avg – 34,000 per screen

Average percentage occupany for Omg is clearly better than that of Heroine going by these figures. Thus, better or similar opening.

As a BOI follower, i am aware of their propoganda of hyping current big stars & current big banners and playing down smaller movies regardless of how good or bad they are. but Such manipulations are evident itself.

But BOI reported poor % occupancy of 35-40% for Omg and good occupancy of 55-60% for Heroine.

How could Heroine, the movie with more than double release size of OMG and with inability to double opening day numbers of Omg! OH my God, could be stated as Good opening.

Can BOI explain this here as their Question & answer section is open to themselves only and has been a medium just to appease Big banners and current big stars?
