Bollywood hot-bod Hrithik Roshan is all set to do a Tom Cruise. The actor has been signed up to play the lead in Siddharth Anand’s much-
hyped official remake of Hollywood action comedy, Knight And Day. While Hrithik’s latest action avatar has been confirmed, the buzz on
which actress will play the desi version of Cameron Diaz in the yet-to-
be titled remake is gaining ground. Trade sources reveal director Anand has approached Katrina Kaif, who’s said to be excited about the project. However, vital dates
required for the shoot clash with the dates Katrina would have to allot
to Gunday, an upcoming Yash Raj Films production she has promised to
do with her ‘Rakhi brother’ Arjun Kapoor. Earlier reports had suggested that Anand, who made Salaam Namaste,
Bachna Ae Haseeno and Anjana Anjani in the past, planned to make his
next film with Shahid Kapoor. But Shahid’s last two releases – Mausam
and Teri Meri Kahaani – performed below expectations, and soon news
did the rounds that Anand was planning a film with Hrithik. There were also reports that Anand was planning a love story with
Hrithik but it now turns out the filmmaker has some explosive action
in store for the actor. Hrithik will start work on the Knight And Day
remake immediately after wrapping up the upcoming Krrish sequel,
being directed by his father Rakesh Roshan. Knight And Day is a script that mixes heady action with romance and
comedy. Fans would be happy to see some sizzling chemistry between
Duggu and Kat, but Katrina has to confirm the project first.
