Why this Heroine won’t charm anyone

Because mediocrity meeting mediocrity can only breed mediocrity.

Madhur Bhandrakar’s script is a big yawn as it collects all the real-life tidbits from the world and tries to make story of it.
As I have said earlier straight forward biopic is so boring. That’s what undid a god effort like The Legend of Bhagat singh. Mangal Pandey with the angle of friendship between the British and Indian soldier is the kind of different perspective to tell the story that makes it more interesting. That is the kind of difference the writing of Luthria and Rajat bring toa film like The Dirty picture.

Another factor going against the film is Kareena’s lack of sex appeal. Her item number has no appeal because her sexuality lacks any mystery or feminine charm. All her item numbers till now It’s Rocking. Tashan ( even with the bikini) or Dil mera muft mein have fallen flat. She works best as a modern smart girl like in 3 Idiots, Golmal 3 or Bodyguard.

This film will help Kareena realise that she is no Vidya Balan. Not by a mile. Let alone TDP this film cant even come to the half way mark of Kahani. 30 cr give or take 10% is my prediction.
