“ETT was expected to face steep fall in 2nd week because of the outstanding business it had done in its first nine day week- and it did take dip of 75-80 %. Nevertheless, it still managed to add Rs. 30.6 crore to its kitty, taking its two week total to awhopping 184.83 crore)

Week 1 – 154.21 crore

Week 2- 30.62 crore

(I will also put up a scan in day or two)

(BUT REMEMBER- Film Information also has Rowdy Rathore as 140 crore and Bol Bachchan as 98 crore)

    tango bro BOI jo likhega wahi manna jata he mai to ap bhi BOI pr believe krta hu :( ,.,pr agr taran komal ne 200cr likh diya to media bhi kahe gi ,.kyuki singham ko bhi 100cr grosser pr boi ne 97cr kaha tha
    media ne 200cr keh diya to aam janta to wahi samjegi :)

      Yeah u r right if Taran gives 200 cr it wud be latched by media …..
      but the Question is Even by taran figures wud it touch 200 cr????

      I don’t think so because……..Acc. to taran its 190.34 cr after 3rd weekend…and wud add another 3 cr for 194.34 cr after 4th week……

      so that means it wud still be needing 5.70 cr ….which looks impossible due to Release of Raaz 3and Heroine……..

    Komal nahta Even said Desi Boyz did above 50 cr nett in india….
    and its a Semi-Hit-Hit……..

    so Even i want to believe his Figures and Verdict…..

    but bottom line is BOI is most Accurate in Boxoffice collections in India……
    and Desi Boyz is a Average Grosser…acc. to BOI…..

    whom to believe :? yrf are official distributors and BOI is most accurate site :(
    so the question is from where boi is getting these distributors numbers …..can any BO expert enlighten us please :?

    we dont have a problem with boi numbers though the gap between them and others is very wide this time – over 10 cr.

    wat we oppose is that even with 190+ cr by boi itself, they are not declaring ett an atbb. thats downright cheating.

    Consistency is very important in life.

    You have been here for while and you must be remembering my sentence “Don’t pick and choose what suits. Be consistent in life.”

    I recall that when we had an in house BO expert here (during Partner time), the fav source was Businessofcinema as Partner was getting the lowest total from there :-)

    the gap for even Rowdy rathore is 8.5 crores almost same as for ETT ..

    The difference in Ett collections is 12-13crores which is Not almost same as 8.5crores.

    And tango bhai can you post the scans of film information lifetime of BB and RR with ETT.

    Iam not sure what will be the final verdict or final total as all from komal to taran to boi have given only one number n that is 202 for 3 idiots, so lets wait and watch at the end what would be the final total… I think if ETT still making mobey here n there even after declared by taran n komal a total of 202cr n say by their terms it may end up as 205-210cr then it is possible that even boi may lap up to distributors numbers…

    But even if it doesn’t cross 200cr it has already crossed naysayers expectation by atleast 30-35 odd crores n that’s the biggest slap n they still keep hamming wtf – dont hav any respect i believe…

    Lets say most salman fans (i believe its only 2-5 salman fans who were vocal about their expectations crossing 200cr including me) may fail to see the total of 203cr by a margin of less than 10cr as per boi n may be 2-3cr by taran n komal… So everyone should be proud of their predictions atleast thats the nearest one to be settled down instead of arguing with wannabe trending experts or so called veterans….

    133 crore rr earned…and there was a diff of 8.5 crore there… Ett has earned 40-50 crore more…so the diff is bound to be mre..i.e 12 crore…whats the murmer about? Taran and komal have always showed official numbers by the production house…and they are always higher…

      1st Ek Tha Tiger has earned 60crores more and still going strong.

      2nd its not always as in case of 3idiots the numbers of BOI and taran komal are EQUAL ie 202.

    Expert opinion? Wasn’t the commentary similar for Ra.One too? Do you really expect people like Komal Nahata and Taran Adarsh to give honest commentary about a film’s trending?

    They have to keep the big stars as well as the big production houses happy, so they will just tom-tom the figures and keep quiet about how badly the films have trended. Why say something that will get them in trouble with the powerful people, no?
