Ek Tha Tiger took a hit on its third Friday as it lost screens and its extensive release and that too with and extended nine day first week begins to tell.
The film collected in the range of 1.25 crore nett which is around 72% lower than last Friday. The collections now are just a bonus as the film has surpassed the distributor share of Three Idiots in just two weeks to become the highest earner in terms of distributor share in the history of Hindi cinema.
The film has also become the first film in history to cross the 20 crore share mark in Delhi/UP. The nett and gross collections will stay below Three Idiots by around 7-8%

1I was expecting around 2 crores. Looks like this week will only give 8-9 crores and 4-5 crores more after that. SO total is around 185 crores.

But in bollywood no sequel has been better made than the previous one, but almost all have done better business. Therefore, I am expecting around 180 crores for Dabangg 2.

0 2I thought Joker wasnt carrying much buzz so how did ETT lose screens. If the theatre owner knows ETT is hotter than Joker, why wont it give more screens to ETT? Someone explain this process to me?
And sad to see ETT not crossing 3 Idiots after huge ext weekend. It shouldve easily crossed it. I told you the WOM is okayish.

ETT on Monday to Thursday figures were 2.92, 2.60, 2.39, 1.97 crs.
How else do you explain the sudden drop to 1.25 cr when Friday evenings people watch more movies. Without losing screen space, it should have gotten about 2 cr still.
It lost a lot of screen space in single screens especially. And for multiplexes also a few small new films are out this weekend, so screen space lost there as well.
However, I think when Joker crashes on Monday (its inevitable) the weekdays will have slightly more screens for ETT so I expect ETT 3rd weekend will be bad, but weekdays should sustain better.
If ETT can get 10 cr in Wk 3, that will be awesome
