Ek Tha Tiger Heads For 30 Crore Second Week(3 crs in 2nd monday)-BOI


Ek Tha Tiger will gross around 30 crore nett over its second week as it collected around 3 crore nett on Monday. The film is holding collections better in Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Gujarat and the Central India markets while the drops are larger in places like Maharashtra and South.

The business of the film will be around 173 crore nett after two weeks and is looking at a 185-190 crore nett lifetime total. It will be the second highest grosser in India of all time while the distributor share will be highest of all time.

The final domestic distributor share will be 105 crore approx which is more than 3 Idiots and the first time that the 100 crore barrier has been surpassed.

    wah wah BASTARDS OF BOI wah!

    To begin with they have already decided the final collections. is it becoz they have reaised the bar for ek that tiger and now want to declare it atbb only above 190 cr? i man ghajini just 4 years back was atbb at 116. has the inflation gone up by 70% in 4 years? is ready at 120 cr was a bb last year. and this year a film at 180 cr will be just a bb? wow.

    again did any one notice that though they rushed to point out the guragon drop last tuesday (and stopped reporting the moment it turned out that tuesday ahd 13 + cr collections) they fail to point out that drop from previous friday to this monday is just 40% which is just excellent, even by shalu didi’s ridiculous trending theory.

    actually BASTARDS OF INDIA have decided two things.

    1. they will not let ett cross 3 idiots total, even if the gap between them and others is 20 cr.

    2. they wont let ett be declared an atbb.

    wudnt that undermine (in fact finish) their chief patron and sponsor, sharukh ‘maniuplative’ khan?

    chalo ek game khelte hain. a mock fight like shirish-srk-farah are indulging in. tum shaalu didi bano aur mere sawaal ka jawaab do.

    socho socho agar shalu didi hoti to kaun si film ka naam bataati? teri meri kahaani? mausam? rockstar? which one?

    This is brilliant.
    Let’s not be abusing towards Shalu as i am sure she has a technique for a markup towards opening in case it is historic as in case of ETT.
    BOI’s figure is absolutely final. We never take producer’s total which is taken by Taran or Komal.

    180 Cr nett surpasses my expectation. Quite clearly I underestimated the holidays and hence the final nett prediction based on WOM is lower by Rs 20 Cr. However my WOM was bang on.

    I now genuinely believe that Salman is way above other stars. However given a good release time, it is now definite that films can cross Rs 200 nett set by 3I.

    If Dabangg2 had released on Aug 15, 3I’s totla would have got eclipsed. Here i am assuming that Dabangg2′s WOM would be same as Dabangg.

    Films to watch out for –

    SRK’s next if it is a solo release
    Dabangg2 releasing during Christmas
    OUATIM2 releasing on a holiday period
    Dhoom3 (releasing on Christmas next year)
    Himmatwala (releasing after IPL next year)

    @Danish: BOI says DS of ETT will be 105 crorers. So, I think they will declare it ATBB. Many sources like boxofficeday, Taran Adarsh have already declared ETT ATBB.
    But it’s good that BOI has raised the margin for ATBB to about 190 crorers because this means srk is not going to give any ATBB. But it is not a problem for salman because if Dabangg 2 has good wom then it can collect 190 crores and become ATBB.

      @Sanjeev – I don’t think BOI hav raised the bar for ATBB to say 180 orsay 190cr.. Their verdicts are based on nos of prints.. The higher the print then higher the collections it needs to be a ATBB.. May be if ETT had released in 2800 prints n collected 160-170cr too they may declare it a ATBB.. Their verdicts are on share per prints or somewhat like that..

    @RJ: i think music wise Dabangg 2 will be the best music album of this year.
    Sajid Wajid in an interview said that all songs were so good that arbazz khan finalized the songs for the movie in just one shot. They also said it will definitely be a big hit among the crowds.
    But one thing is there will be too big expectation and if we don’t find songs like munni, tere mast mast do nain, hud hud dabangg then we might feel the music is not good.

    Dabbang 2 looks set to eclipse 3I 200 crore nett total. I somehow doubt ETT being declared as a all timer because of the costs involved…thanks to Yash Raj’s stupidity of higher revenue share deals as always.
