Ek Tha Tiger Falls On Friday But New Weekend Record-BoI


Ek Tha Tiger fell around 20% from Thursday as Friday collections
look set to come in the the 11.50 crore nett range. The three day
collections of the film will be around 57 crore nett which is record for
the weekend (first three days). The film is falling in the mass belts dominated by single screens and
this could be due to the fact that it is the last few days of the fasting
period before Eid. The multiplexes in Delhi and East Punjab are
holding up much better and in these areas there is less muslim
audience. It is going to very interesting to what happens from Sunday
onwards as it will recover as Ramadan is over but remains to be see
how well it recovers.

    And 11.5 on a totally working day is not tgat much bad.

    Means you think it’ll trended like Dabangg/RR. ETT have mixed to negative WoM ,and there is no repeat value.
    Btw Yeah sunday / monday will be huge around 18/20cr.

    I dont think Ramadan isnt a factor anymore because these days Muslims do watch movies during Ramadan. But still 57 is a great number.

    Ra.One was 53.5 cr for the first 3 days and ETT is 57 cr with higher ticket rates. Hmmm….

    Don’t see ETT doing more than 15-16 cr. today. And Sunday will be the biggest day after Wednesday. Monday won’t be as big as people are expecting. 100 cr by Monday seems touch and go now.

      Well Ra.One also had 3D screens with higher prices. So on avg I think Ett and Ra1 has similar pricing.

      Saturday will be much better than thurs/Fri… remember for most films saturday is less than friday (This was true even for 3Idiots)..

      But here Sat bookings are looking good …. and wait for Sun / Mon ….

    Multiplexes are charging higher for ETT. 3D prices for Ra.1 were not that high at least in my area.

    Getting a feeling that the current North Eastern issue is putting a dampener to the festival spirit leading to lower attendance in theatres. Just a hunch.
