Ek Tha Tiger Takes Box Office Collections To A New High

Ek Tha Tiger has taken opening box office collections to a new high as it has collected 31-32 crore nett as per early estimates. Its a 40% jump from the previous record which was 22 crore nett approx set by Agneepath earlier this year.

Ek Tha Tiger has shattered records all over by recording capacity or near capacity houses all over on the widest release ever.

Mumbai will come in over 10 crore for the first time. CP Berar, Rajasthan and Nizam have all crossed the 1.50 crore barrier for the first time, it was only last year that these circuits crossed the 1 crore mark for opening day with Bodyguard. Mysore may also make it to the 1.50 crore mark.

The opening again proves that the action genre with a superstar on a big national holiday is unbeatable at the box office. When these three lethal combinations have come together it has proved to be record breaking over the last few years.

    ye bhaunke boxofficeindia ke kutte, shahrukh ke chamche, akshay ke dalle.

    an action film with any superstar works on national holiday works? so why dont they all release on action films with a superstar on a national holiday? and make 30 plus cr in a day.

    gaali dena allowed nahin hai par iss waqt boi ko ma behen ki gaaliyaan dene ka mann kar raha hai.

    ullu ke paththon its salman who has performed the miracle. not action genre (remember force) not a superstar (remember rowdy rathore) and not a national holiday (remember ra1)

    all these films did not collect 30 cr on day one. ek tha tiger did. dont try to share salman’s credit with all superstars.

    And boi kehri action+superstar+national holiday ka cmbination..
    And ett ka record bhi tutega shayad salman he tod de dbng 2 ya phr aamir srk ya hrithik apni solo+holiday release se

    @zubair – dude i dont do predictions and reviews. i think both are very stupid.

    @prashant – bodyguard did 21 cr wen the record was 14 cr.it was a 50% jump’ ra1 just built upon that, so did agnipath.

    similarly ett has done 32 cr wen the record was 25 cr. thats a huge jump, not like 3 cr of ra1.

    prashant – ett ka record kya tootega pehle koi inflation adjsuted hahk ka record to todo.
