Akshay Kumar’s ‘Joker’ gets U certificate
Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder happy after ‘Joker’ cleared by Censor board without any cuts
|Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha’s second film together, Joker, has been cleared by the Indian censor board without any cuts.
The film, slated to release on August 31, tells the story of an NRI couple (played by Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha) who try to bring a forgotten and neglected village back into the reckoning by an ingenious hoax. The film is set in a village and looks to be a wholesome family entertainer, a fact confirmed by Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder.
“#JOKER Update : Censor gives ‘U’ Certificate with No Cuts. Calls it a Clean Family Entertainer they have seen in a long time,” Shirish Kunder tweeted.
Wifey Farah Khan too shared her exuberance.
“Yayyyyy!joker gets an U certificate.no cuts!censor board said they have seen a clean cmplete family entertainer after very long!happppyyyy!” Farah Khan tweeted.
A U certificate means that the film is suitable for universal viewing.
