Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is currently riding the success of 3Idiots. According to grapevine the maestro has decided to join hands again with Dharmesh Darshan for a sequel to their film Mela which was released in 2000. Though Mela did not perform well at the Box Office, still Aamir insists that it can be a successful franchise like Dhoom. Aamir will be co-producing this movie.

Mela makers are going global with the second part of their franchise. The search is on for a Hollywood actor to play Aamir Khan’s love interest in the film. The hotties short listed include Penelope Cruz, Natalie Portman and Eva Longoria.
The production house has now decided to take the Mela franchise to a global level. One safe and effective way of going global would be casting a Hollywood hottie,” a source added.

Aamir’s official spokesperson confirmed to the tabloid: “Yes, as of now some new international options are being considered.”
Katrina Kaif was the original choice for the role but she was uncomfortable donning a bikini and doing a kissing sequence with Aamir. Mela franchise is surely getting bigger, better and wilder!
