Normally, in a year, Bollywood has close to 12-14 Clean Successes/Year….
BUT 2012 has been a Fantastically Amazing Year for Bollywood BO Wise.

What help’s more is the Right Economics and COP of a Movie and also the Controlled Selling Price all thanks to the Smart Production Houses these days.

2012 I am sure will be a LANDMARK YEAR in terms of BO Success and Revenues (Trending/Nett/Footfalls) and also a Cult/Superb Year in terms of “Movie Content” and “Entertainment”.

Only if the Govt. of India and Film Industry take some serious steps to control Piracy then the REVENUES can be further increased by an Unprecedent Amount… BOI stated few months back that Piracy accounts to twice OR in some cases even thrice the number of Footfalls for a particular movie.

Players, Tezz, Agent Vinod, Department, Gangs of Wasseypur, Shanghai, Teri Meri Kahaani, Ferrari ki Sawaari were some MAJOR DISSAPOINTMENTS along the way and more was expected from them.

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu(2.5/5)-EMAET was the only ‘Above Average’ Movie BO Wise in 6 Months(in my Books)…Neither a HIT nor a total FAILURE either.

In my Books, ‘Washout to Average’ are FAILURES & SemiHit-ATBB are Successes while ‘Above Average’ is ‘neither here nor there’ kind of a Deal.

In My HONEST Opinion (IMHO), for all the Movies I have seen till now in the First Six Months..

BEST MOVIE – Kahaani

Best Director – Sujoy Ghosh (Kahaani)

Best Actor – Irrfan (Paan Singh Tomar)

Best Actress – Vidya Balan (Kahaani)

p.s – Even as I post this, Bollywood has had again a Rockingly Stupendous July-2012 after an Equally Impressive July-2011(Delhi Belly,Murder-2,ZNMD,Singham & Harry Potter), July has again proved Lucky for Box-Office and Bollywood with Bol Bachchan & Cocktail being the #10 & #11 Success of the Year respectively.

Add to that the Brilliant totals of ‘The Amazing Spider Man(TASM)’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises(TDKR)’.

Also this year has seen Super Success in the form of The Avengers too from Indian BO POV.

In a few days even ‘Kya Superkool Hain Hum’ may join the Rapidly Increasing HIT LIST of 2012.
