in unadjsuted gross, 3 idiots is much ahead.
in adjusted gross (8% per annum compounding) gadar – 130 cr, still 3 idiots (202 nett) much ahead.
but i think the best way is to calculate inflation is at footfall and ticket prices.
so gadar gross = 130, average ticekt price 30 rs footfall = 4.33 cr average ticket price in 2009 = 90 rs gadar adjusted gross 390 cr.
this takes gadar much ahead of 3 idiots.
but
we also have to consider PPP 9percentage of patronisng population)
and in 8 years between gadar and 3 idiots the size of patronizing population has gone down by atleast another 25-30%
which means the margin is very small but gadar is still ahead.
