A ‘Joke’ Lands Saif Ali Khan In Legal Trouble With Natalie Portman
MUMBAI: A few days ago, Saif Ali Khan announced that he had signed Academy Award winning actor, Natalie Portman for a romcom. But apparently, he was only joking. Saif clarified “It was a joke. I’m sorry. I’m just annoyed with speculation on all aspects of my life. I might just start making up stories to entertain myself.”
Saif and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding has been in the middle of speculations, assumptions and rumours for a long time now. It was when a journalist asked him about his future plans post his success of his latest movie, Cocktail, that Saif gave the story about signing a film with The Black Swan actress Natalie. He had said, “A love story we are working on … It’s a secret … We are doing a film with Natalie Portman.”
Needless to say, the news was picked up by every paper and website and eventually reached Natalie. And now, she wants to sue Saif for making this statement. Her lawyers have responded to Saif Ali Khan and his production house Illuminati Films with a “cease and desist” legal notice warning the actor to stop using the actress’ name in claims that are false and unfounded.
Her lawyers also demanded an immediate public apology or risk further legal action.
