Salman’s 100cr gift – EK THA TIGER


ETT is scheduled to release on 15th Aug 2012. All movie buffs are waiting eagerly for the release of this mega venture.

After all its Salman Khan movie. That too releasing after a gap of 1 year.
His last release Bodyguard had shattered all the opening records and went on to become biggest hit of 2011.
Whole nation and BW buffs around the world are expecting similar Box office magic from Salman Khan in ETT. 

The first teaser/trailer and both the songs have received thunderous response. ETT has been talk of the town practically everywhere.

Now lets see some history,

1) Salman Khan has 3 movies which have crossed 100cr. (HATRICK)
2) Katrina Kaif though a succesful actress has yet to exp 100cr.
3) Yash Chopra/Aditya Chopra/YRF though a successful production house have struggled to enter the 100cr league.
4) Kabir Khan though a successful director has yet not crossed 50cr let alone 100cr.

So this EID we will experience SALMAN KHAN GIFTING all these successful ppl their first ever 100cr grosser.

Whoever has seen it have supposively LOVED it. This is from the pre-release screenings.

If the movie is well made then sky is the limit. We might see SALMAN KHAN gifing these ppl probably their first 150cr or even more .. :D

    pyaare, It is not just this forum. All film forums are 80% full of fanatics. The problem is that they have no love for films, they only care for their favourite actors.

    Right now Salman is doing well so his fanatics are making a lot of noise and attacking everybody who dares to speak even a little negative against him. A couple of years earlier it was Shahrukh fans who were doing the same. A couple of years down the line, it will be somebody else’s fans.

    Ignore them and just do you own thing :)

    shalu, hmmm oki i get it. Yeah I mean they don’t even bother to talk about quality of movies in here. It’s just 100000 crores or 2000000 dinars and so on. When did these collections start becoming more important than the movie itself ?? A sane person should not defend masala movies like bodyguard or dabangg or that latest cheap one rowdy by just saying “hey my fav is the biggest star coz his crappiest movie ready or ghajini or agneepath collected billions of dollars”

    garden scene = the scene in bodyguard where salman goes to the garden to propose to kareena not knowing its her boss.

    pyaare, You will get used to it :)

    Films work differently for different people. What is good for me may be crap for you and vice versa. But instead of discussing the good/bad of a film reasonably, the fans of that particular film actor get defensive and feel that their hero is being targetted. And they start quoting the 100+ cr figures the film earned – without understanding that a film may just not have worked for somebody. And those figures mean nothing to him if he didn’t get his money’s worth.

    @shaludidi – but salman has been having atbbs for 25 years. in which case there shud have been no room for srk fanatics. and aamir’s. obviously like ur trending theory, even ur ‘behaviour patterns of a fanatic’ theory is also wrong.

    since wen ppl started realizing collections reflect footfall, that reflect votes of the paying public which are much more valuable than armchair intellectual’s vote.

    in short collections became important ever since ppl started respecting democracy.

    @danish : LOL thanks for the translations bhaiyya waise zyada zarurat nahi thi inki. I know collections may be important but collections of masala movies like om shanti om or ghajini DON’T MATTER at all when we are discussing quality of movies.

    The verdict of the masses for these masala crap cannot be taken as an equivalent for the quality of the movie ( cinematic art ) because they will like anything if it has some dhinka-chika songs, salman bare-bodied and that usual masala thingy you are very well aware of.

    So please try to FOCUS your mind on something better than box-office collections and try to show salman is the biggest thing on the planet. Try to watch bollywood movies even those that don’t have Mr. Salman Khan and try to appreciate this new wave of hindi cinema that is coming our way not masala crap.

    You write so well and you can put it to so much better use. Well sorry if I got too far or personal. After all it’s your life and you know how to spend your hard-earned bucks and how to use your magnificient mind.

    @shaludidi – we quote figures as one on one there is a deadlock in views. in which case, in any democratic setup, a survey of popular opinion becomes important, and thats wher the collections come in as they reflect footfall, which is headcount of number of ppl who liked a film.

    is raksha bandhan par aapko ‘logical thinking’ par ek kitaab doonga gift mein!

    @pyaare – the collections of ghajini and om shanti om reflect public view as much as those of vicky donor (in case u, like didi, think its a classic)

    and your contempt for what u call ‘masees’ is very non democratic. a rickshwawallah’s vote is as important as urs and shalu didi’s.

    i watch films of all actors (including vivek oberoi’s) but i dont wtach in theares films of abhisehk bachchan and anurag kashayp (after no smoking)

    @danish : abhishek ko dekhte hi mujhe ulti jaisa hone lagta hai uski movie dekhna to bhool jaao… no smoking ??? lol kya hua samjh nahi aayi thi kya ??? actually thodi deep thi naa ….gangs, gulaal, dev-d to dekh lete …u missed quite a good ones of kashyap :)

    Anurag, Vishal, Dibakar, Raju, Imtiaz, Sujoy, Shoojit, Tigmaanshu are the finest directors of the hindi film industry. They will do BIG in long-term. I am quite sure about that.

    And in no way I am degrading my dear fellow citizens like rickshaw-wallas, gutter saaf karne waalas, paan-waalas, etc etc. who will go to an air-conditioned SS or MP to a movie in summers just to beat the heat and then spit out the gutka paan they have been chewing since ages on the person sitting next like me maybe.

    I definitely concede Shalu and my opinions matter as much as them. Infact I feel you should consider their opinion and vote as 10000 times more precious than even yours.

    @pyaare – pseudogiri in dev d – the fake ambience created for kalki’s surroundings taken from international films were totally out of place and unrealistic.

    gulal – the whole film was basically pseudogiri but the blue monkey was too much. so was the piyush mishra character.

    aur ab kab hit hogi inki. karodon duba diye. kumar mangat ka diwla nikalwa diya tha omkara aur no smoking ne, pyaar ka apnchnama aur all the best se bacha.

    and wen it come to bashing prejudiced ppl who make a xenophobic remarks no one can match upto the original ‘bajirao singham’ of naachgaana that is rockie for you. and all his comments and posts make perfect sense. u just have to drop ur prejudices to understand them.

    and wen did i claim i am different from “other fanatic here”? ye girlfriends ajsie taane dena, shikwe shikayat karna band karo.
