Salman Khan refuses to compensate car crash victim’s family
Actor Salman Khan has reacted strongly to the rumours that suggested that his brother Sohail Khan was inside the car, when it mowed down a 70-year-old woman on Sunday night.
Sohail’s driver, Dhananjay Pimple, was arrested on the charge of running over the woman and killing her in the process. Pimple was later released on a bail of Rs 10,000.
Salman told the reporters that the driver had gone to eat dinner and was returning to the Khan residence, when the incident took place. The actor added by saying that the family were trying attempted to find relatives of the victim, but had failed in the attempt.
Salman is reported to have said that apparently, the woman’s family must have rendered her homeless and that’s why she was on the streets. The actor said that he’s waiting for the family to claim the body, but at the same time he won’t pay any compensation to them, as they had thrown her out of the house, due to which the incident took place.
Sources suggest that Salman might tweet about the same and if the need be, he would eventually pay after three months for the funeral proceedings.

I am not defending either salman or the act, but I think why this statement was made because if they declare compensation, a lot of unrelated people might spring up claiming a relation to the old lady for money. So I think if they talk of funeral charges only then the real family would come forward instead of any tom dick n Harry.

It can be the easiest thing for him to compensate. Bas paisa hee dena hai. Uski kya kami hai. But he is not doing it and taking a stand.
It can be the easiest thing for him to leave his driver in the mess. Let the Police take the course of law. There is no need for him to defend the driver and get the dirt on his ‘being human’ shirt. But he is defending his driver of 25 years and again taking a stand.
Dabangg aise hee nai kehte.
Naturally it can be the worst thing that can happen to anyone- to be involved in an accident that leads to a death. But ultimately- that’s what it is- an accident. Sometimes you drive as rashly as possible and still nothing happens- sometimes you drive as carefully as possible and still cannot prevent a mishap. Bhagwaan ke haath hai- jo woh likh de.
But whatever, Salman Khan and family should take moral responsibility despite the driver being involved. And that’s what they are doing I guess.
