Rowdy Rathore has been the most appreciated film since Dabangg released in 2010. It has seen the best word of mouth since Dabangg which is reflected in trending of its first three run week run. A fourth week of around 7 crore nett will make it most appreciated film since Three Idiots.

Yeah Don was a copy except for the climax. BUT they took a film that was released in the 70′s and re-styled it for this era with action. You didn’t see SRK wearing the kind of clothes AB wore back then. The action was done differently. They tailored SRK’s DON to suit todays mood. A medicore remake? Well we all have our opinions. From what I remember, it beat out Akshay Kumar-Salman Khan’s Jaaneman at the BO.
It still doesn’t take away that RR is a full on scene to scene, camera angle to camera angle copy of Vikramarkudu. Trust me when you watch Vikramarkudu, you’ll know where I’m coming from, even the opening credits are the same yaar.

1 0Fasel dear, Original DON(1978) was Super Hit by Trade Guide and Filminformation both. It ran for 75 weeks in Hyderabad and 50 weeks at many centers across india. Its collection was over 7 Crore and was 10th Biggest hit in 200 top Hits of 2010. Below are evidence of all what i said :

1 2Well, I saw the original of both Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, and there is no doubt that it was scene wise adaptation but have to add that the heroes of the two films- Mahesh Babu (of the original) and the one who acted in the orignal of Rowdy looked like choohas, in fron of Salman and Akshay.
I mean the way Salamn was running in (wanted) compared to Mahesh, where the father was killed said it all. It was plain lethargic.
The only film where the original hero surpassed or was equal to the Hindi version was Rajnikanth (Bhool Bhulaiya).

0 0i haven’t seen vikramakadu but Prosenjit Chatterjee as Vikram Shingha is unmatchable and the Best so far & ppl who ve seen the bengali version wud know what i am talking…but yea akshay did beat Prosenjit as Shiva due to his comic timming. btw Bikram Singha also did Blockbuster business in WB despite RR.
