Aamir Khan to address the Parliament


Trust Aamir Khan to go where no other Bollywood star has. As his show Satyamev Jayate makes waves, the 47-year-old has now become the first non-MP Bollywood actor to be invited to the Indian Parliament.

Soon after his TV show ruffled feathers with after an episode dealing with malpractices related stories in medical profession; the actor has received an invitation to the Sansad Bhavan. Aamir and his creative team will be there on Thursday to give their views on the subject of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the pharmaceutical sector. “It’s a matter of great pride,” says an insider. Apparently, the head of the parliamentary committee, Shanta Kumar has invited Aamir to the Parliament. “The basic idea is to share the research on the subject of medicines.

Aamir is personally working hard on it,” reveals the insider. Although Aamir remained unavailable for a comment, his official spokesperson confirms: “Yes, Aamir has been invited and he would be going there on Thursday.” Minister of state for parliamentary affairs, Rajeev Shukla, however, says he is unaware of any such development. “I am not aware of Aamir being given any such permission. It is not easy.”

    This is a strange article.

    First it says he has been invited and then it ends saying he has not?

    Contradictory to say the least….

    But if it is true….well done Aamir

    Let’s see if Amitabh tweets on this ;-)

    And there some people who were saying, ” He spent two years for this?” They dont realise how much Aamir has evolved as a person and public figure in these two years.

    why doesnt aamir do an episode on fathers who produce children and then leave them and the mothers to fend for themselves. finding case studies for that episode will also be easy for him as apart from narayan dutt tiwari he wud have direct numbers of a certain jessica hines and jaan hines khan who leads a fatherless existence in london even as junaid khan and azaad rao khan lead a comfortable life with all the money at their disposal and an always accesible father.

    jaanawr se bhi badtar hote hain wo log jo apne bachchon ki bhi parwaah nahin karte.

    in fact this is one reason i did not like vicky donor much despite the comedy being funny. how can someone produce a child knowing fully well its his child and not even wanna be there wen the child has some problem or calamity. and if such ppl are invited to parliament, someone help the parliament.

      abey danish before that Aamir shud make an episode on impotent drunkards who drive recklessly on roads and over poor homeless people (tere malegaon mein jo motor mechanic hai naa woh bhi isme ho sakta tha….phir mazze se uski behen ke saath dandiya khelte tum desi beat ke dhun par) and then shamelessly try to be human…pehle human being bano phir pehenna being human ke sadele t shirt.

      Iss baar ki wife-beating episode to sallu pe theek baithta hai…woh bhi to apni girlfriends ko maarta tha jab woh usse impotent kehti thi…waah mardaangi dikhaata bhi hai to sirf auratoon par :D

    @Danish – you don’t speak without proof rite.. Get me d DNA reports then i ll believe.. You don’t believe about Salman’s underworld connection, Hunting case, Wonen beating as der is not proof so hw cum u believe it’s Aamirs child.. Don’t give d crap that he looks similar to Aamir.. If that is d only reason then tomo every Tom dick n harry looking similar to say SRK or Sr AB ll claim to be his child or say brother.

    @Danish – Don’t be so pessimistic bout Sperm donation.. It’s a gud deed.. If a guy helps a infertile couple in having a child is it not a good deed ?? Danish SIRF PAIDA KARNE SE KOI BAAP NAHI BANTA…

    great job .. have to say that if its happening . i havent seen a single episode of satyamev jayte but my parents absolutely loved it (they dont liek aamir much as aperson because of hsi personal life) ..

    so i must say it has made an impact even if its limited audience( i have no idea abt TRps of this)
