Meet Salman’s double


Several stunts in Salman Khan’s upcoming spy thriller ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ have been performed by the star’s body double

After the promo of Salman Khan’s next film opposite Katrina Kaif released at the theatres, it made a lot of people sit back and notice. In fact, soon after, director Kabir Khan tweeted, “You Tube view meter jammed within 3 mins of launch, YRF server in danger of crashing, trending 15 mins after launch…

That’s Tiger for you :-) ” Now buzz is that in the sequence, where Salman is shown doing what he does best — a series of stunt acts, in fact it is someone else in his shoes. With the help of special effects being done at a Mumbai-based studio, Salman’s body double’s face will be replaced with that of the star.

Our sources reveal that Salman’s body double is none other than Jawed El Berni, a French national, who in the past too has performed the star’s stunts. Jawed has been practicing martial art for the last 20 years and parkour for three.

He also served as Akshay Kumar’s body double in Housefull 2. And that’s not all, even Katrina has a body double in the film, a girl called Rochelle Okoye, who has been a part of films like Twilight and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

Our sources also say that post-production work has started and VFX artistes are currently working on the painstaking process of replacing the body double’s face with Salman’s.

There are also rumours suggesting that since Salman back then was still recuperating from Trigeminal Neuralgia (a nerve disorder), he was unable to perform too many stunts on his own and a body double had to be called in.

    Abhishek’s verbal stunt

    The stunt in Raavan wasn’t done by him as he’s claimed. It was allegedly the work of a Bangalore diving champ

    Mani Ratnam’s Raavan may have opened to a tepid response from critics, but the film and its lead actor are creating enough controversies to keep it in the news.

    It turns out that Abhishek Bachchan’s claims of having done the death-defying stunt in Raavan could be one big lie. Bangalore-based diving champion, M S Balram, has claimed it was his work.

    Balram, a former national diving champion, told Mumbai Mirror that while he has the deepest regard for both Abhishek and Mani Ratnam and is proud of his own appearance in Raavan, he wanted to set the record straight.

    Abhishek’s breathtaking dive off a cliff into a raging river is part of the film’s first few scenes where he is built up as this tough, manic brigand. The scene works wonderfully and which is why Abhishek claiming credit has riled Balram.

    During his media interactions for Raavan’s publicity, Abhishek spoke extensively about this stunt and how he went ahead and perfumed the 80-foot dive at the Hoggenakkal falls in Karnataka. “Though Mani Ratnam opposed it, I went ahead,” is what he had told the Press Trust of India.

    But why are they not showing Aradhya’s face to the media? Kisko resemble karti hai Aradhya? I think they will show the face after the plastic surgery to match Abhi’s face cut

    Three points.

    1. Salman has the balls to get himself clicked with hi body double, while most actors would shy away from this. And such a loving and warm pose too.

    2. Salman is bearing one of the most painful afflictions known to human beings, silently for the past 7 years. He didn’t talk about it even once until media started cooking up malicious stories about him and his doctor visits before Bodyguard release. He still keeps it almost understated. Most of the criticism he faced last decade was because of his diction (He has admitted that at times it was most painful to even chew), him being fond of alcohol (he has admitted that he thought that alcohol would help him bear the pain- and probably did). The suicide disease- it is called. Even now, he suffers from a nerve disorder that is one of the most complicated ones known. But he keeps mum about it- unless asked directly. There are never stories about him bearing pain and doing an action scene.

    3. It has not that Salman hasn’t done stunts on his own ever. But there have never been news items on his daredevilry. Ever. Akshay Kumar jumps a building and the media gets an item on it, along with a pic. As Prakash Jaju would say- Extraordinary! (Waise I don’t mind Akshay projecting his stunt-giri. At least it is better than spreading lies like he being a seedha saadha shareef non-party non-drinker person).

    @dwinpiyush nice comments , i still dont understand why r people making it such a big issue , its not that salman has not done any stunt in ett , almost all the stunts have been done by him , only the ones which r very dangerous ones r done by professional stuntmen
