public senses garbage kyonke audince ke bheje mein gobar badi hain – REALLY IS IT TRUE ??

Recently i have been noticing people getting frustrated and spredaing shit on every post about how indian audience is fool , and they dont have mind etec …..

Is that the case ??

What movies mean for GENERAL AUDIENCE (VIEWERS) ??
OR

A time pass ,
A way to have family fun outing or fun outing with gf / frends
A way to forget already stressful life and see life king size which most of the people always crave for
A way to get entertained …

So these are the main purposes for which a person is willing to shell out Rs 250 (ticket price in metro multiplex) per person

Now Cinema might or might not be of interest to all , it depends on person’s interest , i have known people who are not interested in watching movies in cinema as its waste of time , not even on DVDs etc…

Interest differ from individual so does taste , everyone is different we cant say who is faulty or who has cheap mentality or who is high headed , everybody has his reasons , interest and background to like particular thing and avoid other

Now if movie fails to open that means the makers have failed to show that its worth Rs 250 ticket of urs .. whose mistake is this ?? audience ?? BIG NO .. its film maker’s mistake…

Now if movie has released and people didnt like it , whose mistake is it ???Audience?? AGAIN A BIG NO .. because the makers fail to incite the interest and then failed to entertain majority of ppl who watched it else WOM will spread as has happened in past with GOOD MOVIES like PST , Kahani

A good movie if fails to BRING AUDIENCE TO THEATRE will find its way later – movies like hera pheri , AAA, tere naam , khaaki, swades are big favourites now despite them doing just abt ok in theatre or have failed .. ppl might nt have felt that the movie was worth spending huge money in theatres or makers omehow fail to give an impression that look we have something entertain u ….

MY POINT IS FIRST OF ALL YOU YOURSELF WATCH IT ON PIRATED PRINTS AND THEN U ACT SO HIGH HEADED AS IF IN WHOLE WORLD YOU HAVE CINEMATIC TASTE AND EVERYONE ELSE IS FOOL, JUNTA KA PAISA KAHIN BHI LAGAYE WHEREVER THEY DEEM IT FIT TO BE SPENT – THEY HARD EARNED , WHO ARE YOU TO QUESTION LIKES OF PUBLIC ??? WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE PEOPLE ‘s CHOICE … ARE THEY COMING AND JUDGING YOU ON BASIS OF YOUR CHOICE……. maine hindi ki ek kahavat padhi thi ki sabse baada moorakh woh hota hai jo khud ko samajhdaar aur dusro ko moorakh samjhe .. STOP BEING JUDGEMENTAL , ENJOY WHAT YOU LIKED RATHER THAN QUESTIONING PEOPLE’s TASTE BECAUSE IF WE SEE FROM YOUR PERSPECTIVE – PUBLICH WHO HAvE DIFFERENT TASTE THEN YOURS IS SAYING THE SAME TO YOU AS U R CALLING TO THEM

Just quick thoughts , myt nt be arranged properly ..

^^^ u thinnk tigmanshu dhullia is better filmmaker than dibakar

let’s see KKG OLLO LSD SHANGHAI vs Hasil vs Charas (remember that) vs Sahibw biwi aur ghuam vs pst

Tiiugmanhsu may scored over dibakar with pst (debetable) but his rest of movie are not up to mark like Vouerism in LSD or Con film in OLLO or KKG

    G93,

“u think tigmanshu is better filmmaker than dibakar”

NO…But he is no less either…Dhulia is one of my Fav too.

This wud be my Ranking based on their Entire Career as DIRECTORS,

    1.Dibakar Banerjee
    2.Anurag Basu
    3.Tigmanshu Dhulia
    4.Anurag Kashayap
    ……………

“have u even seen the shanghai”

It was my Top5 Most Awaited of the Year but seeing d reactions I am Discouraged to c it in Theatre(as I fear I wud Hate it even if it is Good).

So, instead of Piracy/Downloding, I will watch Shanghai on DTH…

Ghar main dekh skta hun Shanghai ki Revenue ko support krte hue and can watch it Multiple times too to Undrstnd d Movie Better unlike in Theatre.

    G93,

We r talking the BO of Shanghai, you r talking the Content.

Please don’t Mix up the two.

i decided not to watch shanghai trhe moment i heard it has a basti called ‘bharat nagar’. now this is such a weather-beaten cliche that has happned in movies and thetar plays over decades. i think its the height of over simplistic symbolism. and the lyrics of ‘imported kamariya’ are so laboured and so ‘middleclass- peseudo -intellectual- having -his- say -with- superficial – understanding-and-low-litrary-merit’ that i decided not to watch it on tv also.

    Danish,

You suffer from “I think I have seen it all-hence I know it all” syndrome. Over the past year reading your articles, I have come to admire and appriciate your movie knowledge. Even if its a fan rant sallu article or your retrospective take on movie history that you share- I do make a point to read them all. Having said that, it saddens me that despite having seen a good amount of movies (unlike most people on this forum) and having your favorites (totally acceptable) , you somehow have developed this notion that you know everything and what you know supersedes others. I am not implying lack of humilty or lack of respect for other’s opinion but it is the lack of acceptance thats clearly evident. You comment on your self -constructed theories about some middle class syndrome and that if someone appriciates a movie like Stanley ka Dabba and hates a bodyguard, then he isnt an accepting enough movie watcher while you are because you accept naagin and nova cento. Has it ever occured to you that people watch movies not to write an article on a blog but because they want to watch it. Liking nova cento and naagin does not prove anything.. All it proves it is that they both managed to entertain you..and in a similar way they may or may not manage to entertain others.

Anyways, I wanted to write more, but again, its not my job, besides I wont comment on this topic more since these days your comments are becoming redundant and hover around the same syndrome that I mentioned. A recent example is your last comment on this thread – a clear indication of judging a book by its cover. Enough said….and at alst to quote you
Opinions are like a**holes-everyone has one.
(No more comments from me about this).
