A. Response is outstanding but there is no official release date yet so too early to talk about records. Whichever day it comes on Wednesday or Friday they both fall in Ramadan so records may be tough. It might have a chance on Wednesday as it is Independence day but even still business will be hit in UP, Bihar, Gujarat, Nizam etc where there is heavy muslim population.

predecting the opening of big fims.i will give one exampl.before the release
of dabangg boxofficeindia said that if dabanng is releasing before inside ramadan,then 3 idiots opening day record would be safe.but dabangg released before eid and still comfortably broke 3 idiots opening record.the craze for ek tha tiger is atleast 20 times more than dabangg.even if he film is releasing inside ramzan thecollections would be extraordinary.infact some people are saying that if ett’s advance booking starts even now.there are many who will buy the tickets right now.the buzz for the film is unbelievable.it will braek every opening record but content will decide how far ett can go.but looking at salman form at box office recently,even content is insignificant.boxofficeindia will change thier thougts when ett’s relesase date is confirmd. -

2 1muslims constitute about 20% of indias population.but to say opening will also abe affected by 20% is wrong because muslims constitute almost 40% of footfall for salmans films.thats what i assume from experiences in theatres.so its difficult to predict a opening for ETT because ett is looking like a pan indian film which will transect all barriers like religion,region,class.if that happens opening will be HUGE irrespective of when it releases.

2) The buzz is more than even Dabangg after the latters trailer.
3) All records will be smashed. I have people around me talking about it and having more confidence than me (yep even I can’t believe it)

3 1actuallu just think that muslim is watching ett on opening day.ett will release atleast with 3500 prints in india.now looking at the craze say just 70% of the cinema halls are occupied on opening day.even 70% occupency is enough with 3500 prints to get around 22 crores on opening day.even non salman audeince is eager to watch ett.when dabangg released before eid many muslim fans watched dabangg in evening and night shows after roza.ett will break opening record for sure.

2 0@topShot – Let me try to answer the question u asked to @Navid. There is no hard and fast rule that u cannot watch a movie during Ramadan month. One can watch the movies once all the prayers during the day are over. The last prayer (called Tarabi/Taravi) gets over by 10 – 10.30 PM. This is an additional prayer (other than 5 compulsory prayers during the day) where whole Holy Quran is completed by 26th of Ramadan. After this prayer, one can go for movie or any thing like shopping etc. But 95 % of the people have their dinner after this prayer and then they prepare themselves for next fast, which starts before dawn next day. Hence there is hardly any time for any such activity.
Secondly (and very importantly), apart from the remaining year, this month is for prayers, purity of mind and soul, total submission to Almighty God. If in such a time, one go for movies the whole purpose gets defeated because of mind diversion (after looking at Mallika Sherawat or Sheela ki jawani type acts).
Hence, one keep himself busy with fasting, praying and reading Holy Quran during this month. It is same like any other fasting in different religions.
Though I must add here that best of the TV programs in Saudi Arabia are televised during Ramadan month only, but those are not movies, still very interesting. As it is the movies which they show are mostly war movies without any heroine.
On the contrary, in Iran, it is just opposite to Saudi Arabia. Absolutely no entertainment during this month.
I think I have thrown some light as answer to ur question.

The reports about the film I am getting from members of the team is just beyond any imaginations. Let the trailer gets released and then the music !!!! Highly stylized and technically very sound. Have no doubt about the contents ! As far as Salman is concerned, world have seen the glimpses of him in the teaser and u know the reaction.
