The Avengers beats Tezz On Day 1

THE AVENGERS easily beat TEZZ on Day 1 as it collected around 4.50 crore nett in all languages as per early estimates. The Hollywood multi-starrer performed well overall, especially Mumbai and South.
In Mysore THE AVENGERS collected a huge 48 lakhs nett compared to the 13 lakhs nett of TEZZ. Even in Delhi/UP and East Punjab where Hindi films have a better market and a much bigger release, THE AVENGERS’ collections were at par with TEZZ.
South India was the best with the contribution from Mysore, Nizam and Tamil Nadu/Kerala going over 1.50 crore nett while Mumbai circuit collected around 1.30 crore nett.
The first day collection of TEZZ stood at 3.52 crore
Meanwhile, LIFE KI TOH LAG GAYI was a non starter and will sadly have no chance at the box office

0 0Saw Avengers yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Escapist entertainment at its best. Had my reservations about watching it- as haven’t seen any of the Hulk/Iron Man/Capt America/Thor movies. I am sure I could have comprehended some of the punches better had I known the characters. But still first timers can go and enjoy the spectacle. This is certainly a great advertisement for the earlier Marvel movies. I will certainly look forward to the next!

1 0Tezz is a huge disaster will collect around 12 crore weekend and finish around 20 crore lifetime at max. This genre of stylish action is just not working at the BO. First Players, then Agent Vinod and now Tezz all failed big time and all had high production values. Its masala time.
