And now he is one of the few Bollywood actor’s who dared to release his film during the first and last week of the IPL, which are considered the most important weeks of the tournament. Fortunately releasing his film, “Housefull 2,” at that time didn’t effect his box office sales at all!I

In fact producer of the film Sajid Nadiawala says, “Housefull 2 has taken the biggest opening for Akshay Kumar and my production house, Nadiadwala Grandsons.” The star-studded cast, huge promotional campaign, popular soundtrack, and Akshay Kumar’s massive fan following brought in a strong opening in multiplexes and, single screen theaters.

The film is also doing quit well outside of India topping charts in the UK and being the biggest opener so far in the UAE, so “Housefull 2″ has been a success all around. While cricket is one of India’s biggest obsessions it didn’t stop theaters from getting “housefull” for the film!
