IPL: A Fading Story
It wasn’t the best of the beginnings for Indian Premier League (IPL) season 5. If anything to go by with the first encounter between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, we can only say that IPL is losing its grip. Not only in terms of player’s performance, team’s energy level but also the audience, fans and media as well.

2 0Girish Johar ji is head of marketing and acquisition at Balaji Motion Pictures (previously with UTV) and is an authority on box-office, I mean kitne prints hain, kya trend hai etc. His totals are usually very accurate. Above all he is a very nice and friendly and helpful human being.
Yeah the two days will be quite similar.

I trust few like amul mohan, joginder (though his rating are but for all the movie tats the best), doga, yakuza (nt nw), komal (nwadays he too shwn his color) & ofcourse abid bhai… -

Btw jo hota ache keliye hota hai.. As if movie fall after huge then ppl wil cal due bad wom/rejectd etc…

1 0Ipl fading s wrong , it’s too mch of Indian cricket which has hampered the tournament in a lil way…bt by the no tickets sold in advance is mch higher than ny of the earlier seasons. I agree the quality of competiveness s lacking bt that happens whn there s cricket all round the year. Player fatigue shows. Bt if u c turn around in Eden gardens which holds 80,000 + crowd it was 95% full despite the rain during kkr vs dd match . So it shows the tournament s building up, only it needs few more sparkling performance one the lines of rahane who played a good knock the other day

0 0TRPs are the biggest scam that the country is witnessing today. As far as I know (and I would be thankful if someone can throw light on this), TRPs are collected from just about 10,000 sample homes currently- the figure is most probably even lesser)- To map the TV viewing patterns of an entire nation with the population of 1.2 billion- using 10,000 sample homes in about 60 cities is just rubbish. I mean as a sample it’s fine. But media agencies and the companies believe in these ratings as if they are the absolute truth. With the advent of online viewing and the penetration of D2H in even the remotest corners of the country ( I have traveled quite a bit in Maharashtra recently- and even in the most remote villages I could see D2H connections)… TRPs are just misleading everyone. And I continue to wonder why they are given so much importance. We are a country of fools by and large.

0 0Atleast ipl s creating buzz in international market due to the buisiness model vch it has created in a short time. I agree it’s nt being fruitful for al oppositions bt it’s a matter of time. Given the buzz it has generated in overseas buisiness forums , vch still our Bollywood yet to achieve by the quality of films v produce.
