It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s… the logo! A brand new Superman logo, one with some darker red colors and gritty look, has debuted on Facebook for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Starring Henry Cavill as our new Superman and Russell Crowe as his father Jor-El, as well as a new cast of bright faces. But we don’t get to see any of them here, as this is just the logo. We have yet to see any footage or a trailer yet, but I’m sure we can expect one this summer, at least with The Dark Knight Rises.

In Zack Snyder’s Superman, Henry Cavill plays the new Clark Kent, who goes toe-to-toe with General Zod, played by Michael Shannon. The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane & Kevin Costner as Martha & Jonathan Kent and even Russell Crowe as Jor-El. Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Chris Nolan and Deborah Snyder are producing. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer, based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Man of Steel is now scheduled for release on June 14th, 2013, two summers away. We’ve still got a long wait, and have seen at least one first look at Superman, but not much else. Stay tuned!

    The new logo looks really awesome. Add the presence of Chris Nolan in the team and you might have a superb Superman film just like the Batman movies.

    i dont think toby’s spiderman series were pathetic..
    Dey were superbly entertaining wen dey releasd(though now aftr d likes of TDK) dey look a bit cheesy and OTT.
    But still dey r entertaining franchise and highly earning one too.

    I practically grew up wid HP,Spiderman & POTC series(my first exposure to hwood cinema).
    I never experiencd d LOTR/star wars mania.

    Den came twilight,transfrmers,nolan,avatar and now THG…How times move!!

    no offence but i have never really seen u on NG atleast talk and open up abt movies at all.

    U r either into star wars,fights,mini abusing oders,giving ur pre release views and criticising heavily and of coz the BO talks.

    Considering ur exposure to various movies and good views u give i wud really like to u to open up more on movies instead f just blantantly ripping movies,stars and their fanatics apart.

    Yup, I rip movies up. I ripped off ETT when I predicted it would be a big hit. I ripped Talaash when I said it would cross 100 cr (despite half of NG saying it would flop). Point being Serenzy, it is you who have not been here long enough to comment about me and my activities here. My opinion will stand firm, and according to me the Spiderman series were a franchise disaster in cinematic terms. The new Batman series are the BEST, and Spiderman is not a patch on them. You have your opinion, I have mine. Have we understood each other?

    And coming to trashy Akki films, my wish: I will rip off films that look like trash, and as of now both HF2 and RR are looking trash. While the former will almost certainly be trash, I am holding out on RR in the hope of a better trailer. Your wish if you want to listen to people who call Akki the top superstar of the last decade. At least I have my sanity.

      serenzy too meant well u know..constructive criticism

      now on serious note..the way u dissed spiderman series thts where imo u r wrong..not every movie can be the dark knight..if u leave out tht supreme standard spiderman series were a very well made superhero series..imo spiderman is a typical popcorn superhero series..quite entertaining..whereas the dark knight was more of a fast paced thriller..it would be wrong of u to expect every superhero movie to be like the dark knight

        My wish, my thoughts, my interests and my likes. You are not an authority to tell me what I should like and what I shouldn’t like, and you certainly are not the authority to tell me that my disliking of easily the worst superhero film franchise of all time, according to me, is wrong.

    Spiderman was girly alright. Even the new movie looks similar.
    If superhero movies were made in India then the obvious cast would be:

    1) Superman – Salman Khan
    2) Batman – Aamir Khan
    3) Spiderman – Srk
    4) Hulk – Sunny Deol
    5) Ironman – Hrithik Roshan
    6) Wolverine – Akki

    * Superman – Salman
    * Batman – HR
    * Spiderman – Akki
    * Hulk – Sunny
    * Ironman – SRK
    * Wolverine – Aamir

    Akki would be perfect for the Spiderman role as all that web-flying requires an agile and streamlined body, something only Akki has in BW.
