Realistic Housefull 2 Prediction
*Considering HF2 is liked as much as HF1 or somewhere around there…
Opening Weekend : HF1 had a opening weekend of 31 cr. Now it sure had a good opening period(first weekend post IPL), but even though HF2 is releasing with IPL its also got a good bank holiday on Friday.(Good Friday) so it will offset it.
Using norms of Inflation , approx weekend for HF2 with respect to HF1, comes to ~ 39.25 cr. But considering the fact that it will release in almost double the prints (2700+) and also it has usual Sequel Franchise Appeal, another 4-5 cr can be added.
So Overall Weekend Prediction : 40-45 cr.
First Week Prediction : Weekend to Week conversion for HF1 was 1.53. Taking a similar factor here, the First week collection comes at 62-68 cr Range.
Lifetime Prediction : HF1 had competition from Badmaash Company but overall had a decent BO run. HF2 has 3 clear weeks with some small movies and ofcourse IPL,so that is also comparable.
Week to Lifetime ratio of HF1 was 1.52. Taking that as reference again, Lifetime Prediction for HF2 comes at 94-104 cr.
Overall i think it might end up in the higher end of the prediction due to franchise appeal and larger release.
Final Prediction : 95-105 cr

Akki is an actor i always admired and liked frm the late 90′s(along wid SRK and HR)….I like him more fr his discipline and fitness…I was really glad to c his spectacular 2007 year(along wid SRK’s 2007) but he somewhat lost his way post SIK in 2008 bcz of a truckfull of Crapfest films.

The success of HF-2 is damn imprtant and crucial fr akki…Anyways he is having a disastr in Joker…But d success of hf2 cud be helpful to one of my mostly awaited Rowdy Rathore.
If hf2 fails and so does RR, than akki will b so goneee.
Only if OUATIM-2 & S26 r gems/masterpieces den akki is saved to an extent.

3 090 plus cr due to akki’s starpower and making 1st one a huge success, rest down to music, ladies and director and promotion ofcourse, think how hf wud be if it didn’t have akki and had ritesh, john etc, i doubt it wud get as much attention and awareness. to rocky, desi boyz did 40 plus crore and was hugely profitable, desi was never going to be a mind blusting at the BO, DB was made to get akki’s trust back with his fans and audience, which has actually helped.

Jannat is a well appreciatd Hit of Emmy while Tashan was a thrashed big failure(though akki was superb as Bachchan Pandey but film was megacrap) dat too wid YRF,kareena,saif,anil,akki,big songs….MP release wont have helped it much either due to its high costs.
IPL is no longer a strong force by any stretch of margin…Hf2 has 3 weeks and a weak ipl as opposition…Agar isme b fail hota hain den kya kehne!!!

Tashan would of been a hit in it’s 1st week itself atleast if it released properly on it’s release day, a major 10 crore chunk was lost due to that.

3 0I think Tees Maar Khan though a semi-hit according BOI was a big let down for people who saw it. I liked the movie as I think it was a good spoof movie to come out of bollywood but people expected much bigger action comedy and grandeur. And that expectation was blown to smithereens by the over expectations of Tees Maar Khan. But I think Akki has gained a lot of credibility from his classy fans after Patiala House and Desi boys. He was appreciated by the masses after Thank You. A lot of people saw these movies of telly and new that their Idol has turned a new page. And so Akki has gained a lot of lost ground with these movies. And his fans who have seen these movies and surely going to turn up in theaters to see Housefull . So I think 90-100 would be easy. What say Akkians.

There r small budget films vich have made a lot of noise and excitement coming.
Vicky Donor,Hate Story.Also an ajay starrer wid kangy,anil is dere wid Tezz,VVC’s Ferrari Ki Sawari,The Biggie- Emmy’s Jannat2(sureshot Hit).
Dangerous Ishq,Ishaqzaade etc. are all coming during ipl and r taking it head on.Point being dat ipl is no longer a threat to big movies and films will work if content is good(like Jannat in ’08).

Cost of Housefull 2 expected to be 70-75 cr
Housefull 1 did around 72 cr and MNIK did 72.75 cr but Housefull did have marginally higher DS as it was more successfull in Single Screens and MNIK did more in plexes.

0 0At the moment Akshay Kumar is at all time low. Saif Flops like Agent Vinod and Aaraskhan are making more than Akshay Well trended Thank You and Critically Acclaimed Hit Desi Boyz. So looking at that trend not much we can expect from Houseful 2. The only plus for Houseful 2 is it is directed by Sajid Khan who knows what audience wants, but 2 times lucky third unlucky is strong possibility remember Farah Khan Hit Main Hoon Naa and Blockbuster Om Shanti Om and after that Flop Tees Maar Khan.
