Amitabh movies was run by distributors, not producers .. and distributor’s only MOTIVE IS TO EARN MONEY (They don’t want any award or record) .. and there is not even accountability of those re-runs, but surely money earned was very handsome .. Ask any distributor, they will explain you how his movies fared in long run .. It was believed that many Amitabh movies doubled their collections for distributors in long run ..
DDLJ is different case, Yashraj rented the theater for morning show @20000 per week … DDLJ is running by producers, not distributor.
Sholay run of 5 years is definitely carried much more weightage, first it was paid by distributor, second it was 4 shows a day run for continuous 5 years.
@Street, please make sure who is making fool of himself. If you believe and proud of DDLJ 800 week run, then i will pray to GOD, but i strongly believe now yashraj is making fun of themselves with this act .. (because now this fact has been publically declared on TV many times).

few yrs bak when i was in hyd…i went to taxi num 9211 film(nana john film) in santosh 70 mm.beside this there is sapna 35mm which shows b grade cinema.i saw an expensive car parked,1 uncle n aunty(well dressed sari n makeup) came out n went to sapna 35mm.quite obviusly they were havin an affair n wanted to spend som quality time together(lol) where nobody would catch them.
this is the hardcore truth of som middle aged indian married couples.no offence to the innocent ones.
