The duo of Akshay Kumar and Vipul shah has always given their audience something different from their previous outing and continuing with this trend they have come up with Fantasy musical Rom-Com this time. Many a times when we see things not happening our way due to some of the decisions taken in the past, we always think/dream about going back in the past to change/alter those decisions. Action replayy is about changing the past to have a better present but while saying this, I would like to put it straight that it is not about the time travel rather its about how a young boy plays cupid to their parents in order to save their married life.
Plot
The background music and colourful background, with which the starting credits are presented, transports one to an era bygone. Bunty (Aditya Roy Kapoor) is a 20 something son of Kishen Kumar (Akshay Kumar) and Mala (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). He has lost faith in the institution of marriage as he has always found his parents bickering and for this reason he says no to his girl friend Tanya (Sudeepa Singh)’s marriage proposal. All hell breaks loose when Bunty see his father being humiliated on their marriage anniversary party by his mother’s old friend Kundan (Rannvijay Singh) which results in Kishen and Mala both fighting hard and finally deciding to part ways. Bunty decides to use time machine made by Tanya’s scientist grandfather Anthony Gonzalvis (Randhir Kapoor) and change the past to make present peaceful. Back in time, Bunty sees his father as a nerd, lacking self confidence and unable to assert his presence. Bunty understands the reason for his father not being respected when he see him being bullied by his mother Mala- an audacious, barefaced and bold young women and her friends. This is when Bunty decides to act as Love Guru and make his father confident enough to face the world and tame his mother Mala and thus begins a hilarious journey where Bunty changes his past to make his parent’s present better .
The first half is about setting up the troubled life of Kishen and Mala and Bunty’s apprehension to marriage and his understanding the reason for troubled married life of his parents while second half is about Bunty acting as a Love guru and making his father a bold young man who can tame Mala and her friends and face the world confidently.

I dont knw whats happening . i saw the movie yesterday and ppl were clapping appreciating and shouting awaaz neechay . today my freind saw a noon show at shipra(ghaziabad ) he aslo shared similar sentiments(i knw it doesnt represent whole india ) but sunday collections r still expected to be low
After this I think appreciation shd go to hell Akki shd play characters which are smart , have a charm surrounding his personality rather than roles like this.
BTW , they did not show TMK promo in theatre i visited but my friendsaw thunderous response to its promo today in the theatre mentioned above

They were clapping for Aawaz Neeche here too. Plus were really involved once the makeover took place.

1. m yet to read the review, but think is i dont feel it now, as its going for disaster unless A mIracle… (but would read it yet)

3. when u play hatke characters, i would point to srk/adi in RNBDJ, and their promotion tactics. and haulke haule… which allowed people to understand suri, here i guess they never promoted from that angle.
4. from failure comes success, look at 90′s aamir films.. they were not big hits.. ask bo experts.. but it took him time to find his groove.
5. imo akshay should take a vacation of 1 year from films.
6. come back with a real serious (his role should be kick ass) and smart film.
7. he never tries to win audience of other actors, while srk, aamir have continously done so.

ps- at same time AR being disaster is insult to his bo status, it was more commercial than RNBDJ, only thing is aditya chopra narrated his story better.

Action Replayy had a poor weekend of 15 crore nett. The film flattered on Saturday with a pick up but it was due to the holiday as collections fell again on Sunday. The weekend breakdown was as follows.
