Raajneeti has fetched the second highest price ever for satellite rights. The film has gone for 25 crore which is only behind the 33 crore deal for Three Idiots.
The deal for Raajneeti was done prior to the release of the film but the price was not set. The deal was that the price would be linked to the distributor share of the film. The minimum price was 18 crore but as the film crossed the 45 crore distributor share threshold it fetched 25
crore.
Raajneeti emerged a big blockbuster at the box office and the more it grossed, the higher its satellite price went. Raajneeti is by far the biggest hit of 2010 and the only film this year to give profits in excess of 25 crore to its distributors.

This definitely changes the deal here, with Raajneeti easily being Top Earner for everyone concerned in the first half of 2010.
Yes Doga. Absolutely. I would have said that HF was the better profit-maker than Raajneeti. But now the deal is closed. HF had profits of 15 cr. while Raajneeti will have 25 due to this particular satellite rights price.
Easily the biggest hit so far in 2010 now can safety termed as Raajneeti. Verdict – Superhit.

Doga bhai, any estimate on number of prints being released for OUATIM? I guess it should not be more than 1500.

Doga – Most Milan movies look good before release, starting with Kachche Dhaage. I just hope this time the audience too think the same. It appears that Milan has his biggie this time.
