Raavan’s max is 50, thats if its liked by the audiences.
Action Replay will barely touch 65 to 80.

0 050 is too conservative for Raavan I think. Kites flopping so bad may just give it a boost, due to lack of any great films this year. I don’t think Rajneeti is going to do amazing either. Raavan looks great. It’s action packed and thrilling. I have a feeling audience is going to lap this one up big time.
As for Action Replayy, that movie is going to be a solid winner at the box office. That’s a given.

0 0Haha. Nothing’s given anymore for Akshay. If that were the case, he’d be # 1 with 4 Super Hits in 2009. Back to reality, we can’t guarantee a winner for any film. Just last week, people were expecting Kites to reach 100, now it’s barely going to touch 50.
Guru was around 44 so this can be anywhere between 45 to 55 if liked. I like Abhishek but he doesn’t have a big pull at the BO. Ash used to be a pull but don’t see anything going for her anymore.

0 0Action Replayy is going to be the biggest Hit of the year. However it’s not the next Akshay release. It’s releasing in September.
Next Akshay release is going to be Khatta Meetha whose promos should be out soon.
Before that Rajneeti, Raavan, Anjaana Anjaani will rock. -

I do not know the selling price etc but by flop, I mean it will not collect more than 50 Cr approx.
Junior bachchan is not at all a pull at the BO, he is just surviving bcoz of his pedigree and nothing else!
Also, promos do not look encouraging from the perspective of being able to pull the aam aadmi into theatres.AR is too early to comment but it is not going to be a superhit either.. it can be a hit/success that’s all! This man Vipul Shah ha done Aankhen/Namastey London/Waqt and London Dreams..right? Which of his film were a huge success at BO..either flop/avaerage/moderate sucess.
I will put my bet on TMK being the highest grosser of 2009.

Best performance ever by Salman , Good script , emotions, performances. a really quality worth to watch movie.All these movies are critical appreciated and also box office winner in some extant except London Dreams.
On that time Akshay didnt hv enough crowd puller power but now he has and 2nd thing Ashwariya.
I am hopefull it will open like Housefull and Kites and if it is really head to head Vipul’s last 4 released it will cross 80 cr inshallah. -

0 0Rajneeti and Raavan look good. It is likely that both of these turn out to be god films. Rajneti will do 60 crores plus. Raavan will be a big hit or a total wash out. If the former, it will cross 70 crores.

May 24, 2010I am not expecting much from Ra 1, Don 2 or Tees Maar Khan. Ra 1: Anubhav Sinha has shown no sparks to indicate that he can handle such an unconventional theme. Don 2: Again there was nothing extraordinary in Don 2. Farhan did not create a single moment that had an emotional connerct with the audience. Don by itself was not a big hit. There is no reason why Don 2 should. Tees Maar Khan: I can depend on Farah Khan as director but not Shirish Kunder as a scriptwriter. His Jaaneman was an inefective mish-mash. I don’t think anyone cared for his Joker. He has pretensions to being an avant garde writer. The kind of delusions Sohail Khan has. The result is something like Jane,man, which flops even with Akshay and Salman. It wil do wel in the league of Houseful. Nothing much more.

0 0they will have a good opening but not sure whether they will reach the big numbers 70 crore +. In all honesty they seem to be films that will do business in the region of around 55 – 60 crores.

Plus there’s the Santoshi AB/Dutt/Devgan starrer…..
As for KITES, Hrithik has PAANI, Vishals Next, Bhansali’s Next, and ofcourse the next Jaadu segment to give Hrithik a few blockbusters.
I’m actually looking forward to GUZAARISH a LOT, huge Bhansali fan!

1. Khatta Meetha – Finally a full fledged Akshay Kumar production and a low key promotion relying heavily on WOM
2. Action Replayy – The star cast, Vipul-Akki combo, this musical entertainer that trespasses time holds lots of novelty with its pan india appeal.
3. Tees Maar Khan – Needs to have less hype now. It will be a Block Buster even if it releases unannounced this Friday
4. Thank You – Akshay and Anees Bazmee coming with their third offering after Welcome and SIK…wud be massive
5. Return of Desi Khiladi – Murgadoss’ next after Gajini in an out and out action flick desi style
6. SIK2- To be announced after the release of Action Replayy
